Chantel McGregor at the Carlisle, Hastings Friday 5th July 2024 on Friday 5th July 2024

Chantel McGregor with her her shy, “girl next door”, off stage persona combined with her soft spoken Yorkshire accent belie the power and energy of her performance on stage. Chantel didn’t become a professional musician by accident.

She’s been performing live gigs since the age of 12, schooled at a music college and achieved a First Class Honours Degree in Popular Music. Along with her current band members, Colin Sutton on bass and Thom Gardner on drums, they form an awesome power trio playing an eclectic mix of blues based tunes, composed by Chantel, ranging from traditional blues numbers complimented perfectly by the purity of her singing voice, to a much more raunchy blues rock style.

And boy, can the girl play guitar! With several complicated solos she proves that she can shred with the best of them as her and her guitar become one.

Thomas Heppell

From the vibrant South Coast of the UK to iconic venues across the nation, join Thomas Heppell as he crafts the next chapter in the blues narrative. With a style encapsulating the heart of Blues, the energy of Rock & Roll, and the sophistication of Jazz, Thomas drives the rhythm in his dynamic three-piece ensemble.

His musical journey has seen him share the limelight with stalwarts such as The Cinelli Brothers, Connor Selby, Brave Rival, Catfish, Robin Bibi, Chicken Shack, Mike Mayfield, and even household names like Anton du Beke of Strictly Come Dancing fame. He’s also left his mark at illustrious venues and events including Pizza Express Live, Brixton Blues Kitchen, The Tuesday Night Club Coulsdon, Lincoln Jazz Cafe, Broadstairs Blues Bash, Temperance, Swanage Blues Festival, RamJam Kingston, The Bedford Balham, Ritzy Cinema and Weyfest.

In 2022, Thomas's debut solo EP, 'Be My Home', not only received airwave love from Jazz FM (Blues and Boogie - David Freeman) and Blues Radio UK (Richard Dunning - Chairman of Blues UK Federation), but also secured him three nominations at the UK Blues Awards 2023. With nods for Best Young, Emerging, and Acoustic Blues Artist, it's evident Thomas is a force to be reckoned with in the British Blues panorama.

November 2023 saw Thomas release his debut self-titled band album which has already received airplay from Planet Rock and BBC Introducing radio stations. He also sold out his album launch night at Sound Lounge Sutton.
Thomas was shortlisted in the Top 5 of Best UK Emerging Blues Act in The UK Blues Awards 2024.

Celebrating the rich tapestry of blues and its deep-seated legacy, Thomas has crafted a genre-defying album that speaks directly to the soul. Both an ode to the greats and a contemporary foray into personal trials and tribulations, this self-titled album promises a unique journey through life's myriad emotions.
