Birmingham events, clubs, gigs and what's on

The second biggest city in the UK is literally crammed with things to do, from gigs and clubbing, to live acts, comedy and theatre. It's hard to deny the importance of Birmingham's influence to the world in the arts, with the likes of Ozzy Osbourne's Black Sabbath, Duran Duran, UB40 and The Streets all coming from the city, as well as celebrated comedians like Jasper Carrott and Tony Hancock.

There is also an incredibly thriving dance music community, with such venues as The O2 Institute being regular fixtures of Birmingham's nightlife, not to mention a tonne of other underground promoters.
