Review of Auger | Nottingham - Nighthawks Tour 2022

Overall rating: 5 Verified review

Auger are fresh & original. Imagine a mix of Sisters of Mercy, a dash of Kraftwerk and a whole lot of metal.

All beautifully brought together by their passion & positivity. They are very up and coming. Watch this space!

Love the music, more fans needed and bigger venue needed. It’s hard to really hear such loud music in such a tiny room.

Review of Lips Can Kill 2

All 4 bands were very good - I had only seen Yur Mum previously and really came to see them. Have recommended the Tour to friends and will go to at least 2 of the remaining gigs.

Review of The Rose Of Avalanche

Overall rating: 3.5 Verified review

I went to see the awesome support band; Yur Mum, Rose of Avalanche were simply blown off stage by a far superior energetic band. ROA were too serious; boring and pretentious; they acted like superstars; there are not and never were as I was around back in the day during their 'heyday' which sadly for them never amounted to much; retire guys....

Review of The Rose Of Avalanche

Overall rating: 4 Verified review

The Rose of Avalanche are amazing, why were they not huge in the eighties?? Great to have them back playing live, they have not lost any of their spark. The Chapel is a very intimate venue with friendly staff, only disappointment was the sound, the twin guitars are what gives the Rose their distinctive sound, and the volume was far too low on Glen Schultz’s guitar. That said, it was a fantastic gig and a real treat the hear the guys live again.

I've wanted to see the Rose of Avalanche since the mid-80's, when I first got into them. They did not disappoint, playing most of the classics from back in the day.

The only minor downsides, the stage at the Angel is very small and the band, a five piece, were almost on top of each other. Also, for what it is £15 is quite steep for Nottingham.

That said, it was a top night out and, at last, I have got to see ROA.

I've been to the venue (Old Angel,Nottingham) before so knew what to expect. Small friendly upstairs venue with bar. The gig itself was great, impressed with 'Yur Mum' in support- female fronted singer/Bass player with a guy on drum- gutsy Punk/Grunge sound that has the crowd moving to the rhythm.
Rose of Avalanche headlined, belting out songs from their back catalogue many at the gig had waited to hear again from the good old Hippy/Goth (a term I've heard 'Gippy') days ð???â??️
