Review of May Day
Was told it would be a 2 hour wait to get in, despite having tickets and wristbands. Once we eventually got in, the place was absolutely packed and was almost impossible to get to the bar for a drink, got a drink and the lemonade syrup had ran out so it was just soda water and tasted awful but would’ve taken too long to get back to the bar. The toilets were absolutely disgusting and it was so busy that would couldn’t even get to the sinks or out of the bathroom. Far too many people were let into the venue and it was not enjoyable.

College bar was really great apart from quite aggressive bouncers which was unnecessary towards people only there for a good time .The two stars would be 4 for them but Soul was a complete disaster, such a let down. Cramped in, whether it was the toilet queues, to the bar, to even getting in thats with the passes. The toilets were disgusting, definitely will not be going back until it’s sorted, we stayed 1 hour and in that time none of our group managed to get one drink and only 2 of us got to the toilet

I would just like to say yesterday was a total shambles at soul. I had picked up wristbands for myself and 4 other friends earlier in the week to ensure no waiting in ques on Sunday which was a total waste of my time. Everyone had been put in to the same que weather we had wristbands or not. You had already oversold the event and yet we're still selling tickets on the door when there was a que full of people who had already pre bought tickets for this event. When in the que we had got told by the bouncers it was at least a 2 hour wait and even then, there was no guarantee we would have got in. After paying for a ticket and getting told you are at full capacity and not letting anyone else in is really frustrating and just looks like as a business you have done this to rip people off and make a profit. I would like a full refund for me and my 4 friends as we did not get entry to your event after having pre-paid a ticket and picked up wristbands early. If you do not refund myself and my friends, I will be taking this further as it is totally illegal to have over sold tickets for an event than what your venue can hold.

Review of May Day
Unbelievable that people who had already pre bought wristbands were unable to pick them up after 5pm without any previous statement that there was a time limit was unacceptable. Forcing people to queue when they’ve already paid for entry and have a wristband was outrageous. The bouncers were incredibly rude and almost seriously injured a young woman by upending a picnic table while she was standing on it instead of getting her attention verbally and asking her to move. I personally will not be attending this venue again. Brutal.

Unfortunately too many tickets appear to have been sold so it was extremely busy and the queue to get in was massive. The bouncer was letting people pay him extra money for him to let them in which was very unfair. Bar was also unmanageable
