Britpop heavyweights Ocean Colour Scene have unveiled details of a huge Manchester show that will take place this winter. Coming to the city's Albert Hall, a stunning, forgotten Wesleyan chapel, on Friday 30th November the band will work through tracks from a back catalogue that goes back some 25 years.
In seminal 1996 record Moseley Shoals, the band lodged themselves firmly within Britpop folklore in numerous ways - it peaked at number two in the charts with opening track 'The Riverboat Song' famously popularised via telly smash TFI Friday, while a slew of other arms aloft anthems such as 'The Day We Caught The Train' and 'The Circle' were also crammed into the record.
The band are set to be supported at their Manchester date at none other than Motown icons Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, who will kick off what is set to be an unforgettable night of music in stunning surroundings.
