Now and then a festival comes along that takes things back to basics, goes against the huge commercial trend that most festivals fall into, and create something genuine in the process. One such festival is the enigmatically christened ‘Methusala’ Festival.

Nestled in the countryside of Lancashire, the UKs first organically grown music festival will arrive over the August bank holiday weekend, with its focus on a 100% original and 100% organic aesthetic.

Featuring a whole host of locally produced and incredibly talented bands, this festival is a rare opportunity to catch a vat of unadulterated, undiscovered new artists before they hit the big time, in an unpretentious setting.

This year will feature headliners such as Boomin (widely regarded as the British answer to Green Day), Edinburgh’s finest Celtic trance rockers Shoogrenifty, and Rock FM’s very own DJ Danny Bee, who will be taking to the stage with an arsenal of old skool classic dance tracks. With an exciting mixture of genres and styles clashing in the beautiful Lancashire countryside, this year’s Methusala is all set to bring an organic goodness to the masses, both surprising and thrilling fans and critics alike.

Add to that an impressive array of carefully selected local produce, real ale beer and cider bars, market stalls, childrens areas, theatres, and workshops, the list of things to do at Methusala is almost endless. With an expected attendance of 5,000, Mawdesley is gearing up to hold one of the most natural, unassuming, and friendly festivals of the year. Expect to relax, let your hair down, and embrace life at a different pace in a chilled out setting.
