With the connection between mental health and dance music becoming more and more prevalent, FLOOR will explore the correlation between the two with a cluster of relevant artists and experts at Texture in Manchester.

FLOOR is a series of events, panel discussions, Q&As and workshops offering a place to meet, listen and talk about electronic music. Previously covered topic areas include women in dance music and property developments and closed clubs in Manchester.

The panel for this talk includes Ben Pearce, a renowned DJ and producer who has shared his experiences with depression; Jack Barton who's a DJ and production teacher who uses music to combat depression; Christine Brown from Help Musicians, which is a charity which supports those in the music industry when dealing with mental health issues. The panel is completed with Liam O Reilly from TKA agency.

They will discuss important issues such as the affect working in the industry can have on creatives, the steps that can be taken to keep mental health struggles at bay, the way music can be used to combat problems and much more.

Ben has generously agreed to DJ before the panel from 6pm-7pm, which anyone who has a ticket for the main panel will be welcome to come to.

Both the DJ set and the panel will be streamed live onto Skiddle's Facebook page, the DJ set will also be broadcast onto MCR Live
