The Montreux Jazz Festival is a music festival in Switzerland, held annually in early July in Montreux on the Lake Geneva shoreline. It is the second-largest annual jazz festival in the world after Canada's Montreal International Jazz Festival.

Montreux Jazz festival takes place from the 2nd - 16th July 2022.

All other venues will welcome you free of charge, according to the access conditions in force.

Access to the Festival is also quick and easy from campgrounds near the city of Lausanne, about 30 minutes away.
No, due to the more intimate format of the festival, there is no free parking near the festival. We encourage you to use public transportation during the festival. Parking outside of the designated areas is prohibited. Even if it does not appear to be a nuisance, it may impede the passage of emergency services or technical services.
All festival spaces are accessible to people with reduced mobility.
The following stages require a minimum reservation of 24 hours in advance: Scène du Lac and the Petit Théâtre. Please contact us via ticketinfo@mjf.ch or +41 21 966 45 50. The Gardens are fully accessible to people with reduced mobility.
An infirmary accessible from the Vernex quay is available in case of need.
Concerning access, a drop-off point is provided in front of the 2m2c, along Avenue Claude-Nobs. The Fairmont Montreux Palace parking lot is available on request and according to availability.
A specialized Eurokey toilet is available at the bottom of Rue Emery and the toilets of the Fairmont Le Montreux Palace are accessible to people with reduced mobility.

Important: You must order your concert tickets for persons with disabilities prior to the Festival. We unfortunately cannot take reservations on the day of a concert due to limited seating availability.
Train: Montreux is easily accessed by train. The SBB train station is a few minutes walk from the Festival.
Car: The Festival is near the main highway. Take exit 15 (“Montreux”) if you are coming from Lausanne, or exit 16 (“Villeneuve”) if you are coming from the Valais region.
Bus: Bus lines serve the Montreux area. The stops “Montreux, Centre des Congrès” and “Montreux, Escaliers de la Gare” are within walking distance of the festival
Plane: The Geneva International Airport is one hour away, either by direct train or by car.
Boat: Located on the shores of Lake Geneva, the Festival may also be accessed by boat from Geneva, Lausanne, and even Evian-Les-Bains, France. Schedules: www.cgn.ch
Bike: There are several parking lots for bicycles near the Festival.
For safety reasons, children under 6 will not be admitted to the concerts. All ticket holders under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. The organiser declines all responsibility for any problems encountered as a result of a violation of this rule.

The Montreux Jazz Festival was founded in 1967 by Claude Nobs, Géo Voumard and René Langel with considerable help from Ahmet and Nesuhi Ertegün of Atlantic Records. The festival was first held at Montreux Casino. It lasted for three days and featured almost exclusively jazz artists.
