Biography

Deep Matter, the northern duo hailing from Barnsley first started creating music together in 2014.

With Scott and Dan merging their musical influences of House & Techno, it's allowed them to create fresh and versatile music straight for the dance floor, track after track. Both Scott and Dan have a wide range of experience in the industry. From spinning trance vinyl back in the golden 1998-2000 era to playing Dave Beer’s legendary Back to Basics when it visited Sheffield.

Other memorable gigs include Springfest @ Magna, Parked Out and Distrikt in Leeds.

Both love music with a passion and can be heard listening to anything from classical movie scores, indie bands, chill out, trap and obviously lots of house music! Now with a more focused commercial direction that’s packed with pianos, organs and chunky basslines, Deep Matter have definitely found their signature sound.

With Current and forthcoming releases on Ministry of Sound, Selected and Zulu Records; The guys have built a steady legion of fans with recent support from the likes of Diplo, EDX, Oliver Helden, Robbie Rivera, My Digital Enemy, Laidback Luke, Mark Knight, Michael Woods, Tough Love, MK, Danny Howard, The Wideboys, Chocolate Puma just to name a few!
