Not a festival for kids, the kids circus skills and music areas were in the same field where people were rapping about drug use and swearing loads. No other real area for the kids. All the man acts were on too late.

VIP toilets were a joke, they were closed early and when attendants did bother to show up were letting anyone in. Some families paid an extra £200 for this so it was an absolute waste. You should have urinals for men and women like Reading, and long drops in the arena.
Alcohol restrictions at the campsite are ridiculous, no other festival I've been to enforces this, the bar drinks were vile and overpriced.
This may have been the 2nd year of running but Escape Records are a huge billion pound organisation and for the capacity to have increased so much between Y1>2 without the additional facilities is stupid.
The music was ok, but for the prices there should have been better headliners.
Camping pitches should be marked out like they do at Bestival in the family fields because it was a free for all and by 3pm on Early Bird entry day Bamboo was closed because it was full! There were too many people being let in with early bird as well and the 2 trip allowance to the car was stupid.
Your staff initiating searches weren't SIA licenced either, lots of the searches were being carried out by unqualified volunteers.
Please make lots of improvements ahead of next year

Prices were too high. Upgrades were a rip off and not worth it. Toilets and staff you’ll know about already. Thought you’d have learnt from the first year and get the teething problems sorted. You’ve really lost my trust

Family field needs more toilets and food stands,men should have a stall to urinate against to reduce toilet ques. Entry and re-entry needs addressing as families struggle unloading and rentering with equipment . More vegan food options would be welcomed .alcohol restrictions for the campsite should be relaxed as the venue prices are high and do not stock well known brands. Emergency access around the sites needs considering as emergency services cannot easily decend as there is no segregation .the venue capacity also needs to be looked at as the main stage area cannot accommodate the volume present.

Great atmosphere and location, organisation could’ve been better for those day parking. Very far away from site, poorly sign posted to access and a nightmare locating car afterwards. Need better light and signs with area A, B, C etc to help find your vehicle.

The whole family enjoyed. The kids had the most amazing time as did we. We went everywhere and saw no trouble. The kids loved the tents, they had ear defenders on and loved dancing on their dad’s shoulders. Would 100% recommend

we were part of the family camping and felt that the camping facility's were a huge let down based on last year's experience.. There was an increase on campers and a decrease in the amount of toilets and showers available. on a daily basis the toilets were not managed effectively and were full to the brim. when camping, if you use a clean shower and toilet then you are a happy camper. this was not the case and most conversations at the camp sites reflected this leaving people to queue for the available clean toilets...

the security team were not up to the standard required as when seeking advice for areas of the festival.they were completely unaware of meeting points, campsite locations and it was evident there was a language barrier to overcome.

my biggest concern was the amount of teenage groups at the festival between the age of 15 to 18.

facilities for caravans were terrible, there was no water pressure, it took a long time to fill an aquaroll and the elsan point was the opposite end of the field. it took a long time to get through security, the prices were ridiculous @ £6.50 for a warm can of beer. food was expensive but that's expected. we payed extra for vip but that was below average with long bar ques. too many acts were playing at the same time so you had to pick who you wanted to see the most. fair rides were expensive. if I'm completely honest I want a refund.

We attended the festival Fri, Sat & Sun. The majority of acts were amazing, but, this event was advertised as a family event! The amount of unacceptable and totally unnecessary swearing/references to alcohol and drug consumption at the parc stage really put a downer on the whole weekend for myself and my friends with young ones. As we were poised for the next round of unnecessary language to be blasted out. I get it's in the T&Cs that some adult content may happen at the parc stage but what we heard was totally unnecessary!!... It didn't need to happen! Food and drink prices were extortionate, toilets gradually got in a worse condition every day we attended. There was definitely a lot of drug use at the event as there was a constant aroma in the air. The security at the gates tried limiting how much water we took in with us even though the T&Cs say there is no limit on soft drinks/water! This weekend was 70-75 degrees Fahrenheit. Obviously, this was just to get a few more £s out of us. We would not use the drinking water supplied as other people were using the drinking water taps to wash their hands after they had been to the unhygienic toilets. Email sent to organisers.

I would love to go again, but unless they sort out the toilet situation there is no way 😞 I'd come again. It got to the point it was an environmental issue children could not use them as they were full to the brim

Review of In It Together: The Retreat

Absolutely loved the overall feel to the festival. Thought The Retreat area would benefit from a drinks stall / healthy food station so you didn’t have to go all the way back to the main festival area. The location for The Retreat was ideal though under the trees. The Tic Tac Toe area for the kids was brilliant and we spent a lot of time in the tent there. Would have benefited from a poster each day so you knew roughly what was on though. Way too noisy location for the motor homes right behind the late night music tent and funfair plus the teen campers passing through into the earlier hours. You paid a premium on top of weekend tickets / camping to bring in a camper van!
Staff were extremely helpful and friendly and we some plenty of security staff and police around so it felt very safe. Think the festival doesn’t know what it wants to be though, is it aimed at families or teenagers / young adults? The spaces need to be better separated if it’s going to continue to market for both. The plans for 2024 do look more promising and interesting.

Not disability friendly as advertised. 1 disabled toilet by the viewing platform but no one stopping non disabled from using it. It meant that the toilet filled up and was out of use from about 6pm. Leaving the nearest disabled toilet up a hill which was near enough inpossible to get up with a wheel chair because everyone was sat on the grass on the hill. How can 1 toilet be enough anyway? Also there needs to be a limit on how many people one disabled person can bring on the platform. One girl had 6 friends meaning people who needed the area couldn't access it due to restricted space. Disabled parking - well know one knew where it was not even the staff. We were passed from pillar to post trying to sort parking out. Then we were put in a car park and buggied in. When we decided to leave on the first day about 6pm we were told it was a 2 hour wait for a buggy as the buggies were being used to cart things around the festival. On the second day I found my own parking in a barn thats was 2 mins away from disabled viewing platform. Tucked in by a tractor so not to be seen. Dreadful that it came to that. Toilets were surprisingly clean which I was impressed with and the queues were relatively short. Prices were ridiculous. £5.50 for chips that were tiny portion. Add chicken nuggets or burger and the price shot up to £14.50. Can of c**e was £3. I expect prices to be higher but that is ridiculous. I have emailed expressing my disappointment in how the disability side was organised and even offered to help them with how better the provisions can be. I havent heard a thing.

That said the actually festival was fab. Loved the bands and felt the ticket prices were priced fairly. If disability aspect can be sorted and allow people to bring soft drinks and snacks then I would return.

Chargecandy worked well for me.
Staff were great, friendly, helpful and professional.
Charged my phone everyday but reception was so poor on the site that I didn't use my phone much.
I would recommend and advise to pre book.
Much more cost effective .
Will use again next year.
