A celebration of Arthur Russell on Thursday 3rd September 2020

Please note, this event has been rescheduled to 27th May 2021.

We present the UK debut of this live show devoted to the songs of Arthur Russell, who would have been 69 on this day.

Since his death at the age of just 40, several albums of his timeless music have been released, spanning the worlds of folk, disco, New Wave and beyond and reviving his legacy amongst a new generation of fans. Beauty and wonder pervade his prolific collection of recordings, and we’re pleased to see that his seminal life work is now being appreciated by a wider audience.

Peter Broderick & Friends Play Arthur Russell is the vibrant and joyful tribute to one of Erased Tapes artist Peter Broderick’s greatest heroes. The show has been toured extensively on the festival circuit, and is approved by Russell’s long-tern partner Tom Lee. His dedication to the music makes him the perfect person to join us in celebrating this cultural icon.
