Deptford Northern Soul Club #18 on Saturday 21st July 2018

Offering gimmick free parties up and down the UK; Deptford Northern Soul Club is a new breed soul night for the next generation of party goers. Expect fast hard hitting soul stompers, heavy perspiration, dance moves you’ve never seen before and a hangover you’ll want to forget. This is the new face of soul brought to you by the next generation, digging thought the internet and their parents record collections to bring you a dance music orientated display of the finest trumpets, the heaviest drum breaks and the most deeply heart-wrenching vocals; that you’ve probably heard before.

A bit of background info on what we’ve done:
Deptford Northern Soul Club started in November 2016 with a sell out show at Bunker Club in Deptford. Due to popular demand they have returned to spin records on a monthly residency for the club. Since then, backed by regular sell outs nights with queues down the street Will and Lewis have taken the party to Glastonbury Festival playing to 1500 people at William’s Green stage where they were also number 20 in the top attractions at the festival and were featured in the program.

Since then the boys played at End of The Road Festival, Norman Jay MBE’s Good Times Goes East party in Hackney and at the Q Awards at the Roundhouse in Camden. In November they went on tour around the UK and Ireland securing them another monthly London based residency - Bare Soul at 91Brick Lane in Shoreditch. The summer coming boasts nights at Corsica Studios - London, Menagerie - Belfast and The Junction - Cambridge to name a few. DNSC will also be hitting the road to headline the after dark slot on The Walled Garden stage at Green Man Festival in Wales.

Poppy Turner (DNSC)
Though fairly new to DJing, Poppy Turner is no stranger to soul. She started out with Deptford Northern Soul Club in September 2017, but since then she's got people dancing in London, Manchester, and back home in West Yorkshire – playing northern soul classics, disco bangers and everything in between.

Scarlett O'Malley (The Soul Exchange)
West London-based DJ Scarlett O’Malley has Northern Soul running through from her head to her toes in her record collection, at her fingertips and on the dancefloor. As a part of the Deptford Northern Soul Club collective, she will be bringing an eclectic mix of lovingly chosen Detroit-led stompers and Philly plattered progressive Northern to our night. Scarlett embodies groove-drenched music in all her sets. Before taking to the decks as a DJ, Scarlett's deep-rooted love affair with heart-wrenching soul music found a home on the radio. Her award-winning show, 'Scarlett's Doo-Wop to Northern Soul Show', took home Surge Radio’s “Best Specialty Music” and 'Best Female' title in 2015 and 2016. Scarlett is a touring DJ with having toured the country with Itchy Feet as their production manager and resident DJ, music runs in all the threads of her life. Now a regular DJ at Fred Perry, and The Blues Kitchen and with her show 'The Soul Exchange' on Portobello Radio, she is spreading soul across London by any means necessary.
