Gentleman's Dub Club on Friday 19th October 2018

Gentleman’s Dub Club head up the stage of South London’s iconic Electric Brixton in what will be a historic night for one of the most premier acts in UK Reggae and Bass Music.

Having built a reputation on consistently delivering one of the most energetic and exhilarating live shows to emerge from the UK bass music scene, the Gents’ antics have seen them astound crowds from Goa to Glastonbury, Bestival, V Fest, Secret Garden Party and Poland’s Ostroda Reggae Festival, not to mention the biggest bass-music’ festival in the world - Croatia’s Outlook Festival.

Their records remain securely within the top 40 of the album reggae charts since release, hailing support from some of the UK's most prominent underground representatives including Huw Stephens (BBC Radio 1), Rob Da Bank (BBC Radio 1), David Rodigan (BBC 1XTRA ) and Don Letts (BBC Radio 6 music).

Known for their legendary sound system, aka “tower of power”, the force that are Mungo’s Hi Fi will be joining the Gents to get your heart rattling out of your chest. Ever since finding speakers in a skip, Mungos Hi Fi have been pushing UK sound system culture from their home city of Glasgow. Repping Scotland to the fullest, naming themselves after the patron saint and founder of Glasgow, St Mungo, for example, they fuse reggae, dub and dance floor into an upbeat and bassy sound.

At Electric Brixton, the Gents and Mungos will get the floor shaking with thunderous bass and bodies moving with addictive melodies and skanking guitars. Don’t miss out on this epic reggae, ska and bass all nighter.

“The band are fast gaining a reputation as one of the most energetic and incendiary live bands in the country - of any genre” - Kudos Records
