Back to the Dock 3rd Anniversary Top Buzz & 2 Bad Mice on Saturday 22nd February 2020

On the 22nd February 2020 we once again descend on the magnificent North Shore Troubadour warehouse complex on the docks of the famous River Mersey. This time its to celebrate our very own 3rd Birthday, Yess that's right Back to the Dock turns 3 years old and to celebrate we've gone over n beyond to bring you the biggest baddest and best night possible. We've left no stone unturned and no expense spared when it comes to the line up and production. We're bringing you 2 Warehouses of fun and mayhem to give you the raver the most authentic old skool experience you can possibly imagine Warehouse 1 will be supplying the old skool whilst Warehouse 2 will be booming with the sounds of Hardcore and Jungle techno Both will be showcasing your favourite tunes from the golden era of 1990 to 1997 with a line up to make your mouth water.

Top Buzz was originally formed in 1988 by MC Patrick McPhee ('Mad P'), DJ Mikee B and DJ Jason Kaye. All originate from the Tottenham areas of north London, although in the 1990s they lived in Enfield.

They were one of the first to popularise the darker sounds of jungle techno as it began to emerge from the hardcore rave sounds from 1991. The band released the Livin' in Darkness EP on Basement Records in 1992, which encapsulates much of the flavour of the era.[1] They were headline performers at Amnesia House, Fantazia, Universe, Dreamscape, and Obsession events, amongst many others.

A distinct feature was the ragga MCing of MC Patrick, strongly influenced by Jamaican dancehall. Patrick often referred to the team as 'Two Blacks and a Bubble', a reference to their ethnic origins, with 'bubble' referring to Bubble and Squeak, the Cockney rhyming slang for Greek (Jason K is a Greek Cypriot).[2][3][4]

MC Mad P and DJ Jason Kaye still perform at oldskool hardcore and jungle events across Britain.

2 Bad Mice are an English breakbeat hardcoregroup, composed of Sean O'Keeffe, Simon Colebrooke, and Rob Playford, the latter the owner of the Moving Shadow record label. 2 Bad Mice are credited as among the first UK hardcore acts to begin incorporating breakbeats into their style. They were part of the early to mid-1990s hardcore scene, and were instrumental in the music's steady mutation into jungle/drum and bass. The members of 2 Bad Mice are also members of Kaotic Chemistry, a three-person group.
Stu Allan is a British dance music DJ who worked for Piccadilly Radio and Key 103 in Manchester in the 1980s and 1990s. His hip hop, hardcore technoand house music mixes ranked him the world's No. 3 DJ by DJ Magazine in 1993 and his performances influenced significantly the music scene during this period.[Allan today remains a major contributor within the UK hardcore scene.
Si Frater started his DJ career back in the early 90's on local pirate radio in Yorkshire just as the rave scene erupted.

With a love and passion for the emerging scene, combined with the huge popularity of his weekly Friday night rave radio show, Si was fortunate to receive sponsorship from a local record shop and with bookings starting to come in and a record box filled with the very latest 12” releases he started to play at various events across the North of England. Si also started his own weekly dance event at 'The Park' pub / club every Tuesday night.

7years ago Si founded Rejuvenation, a hugely successful old skool event held at the Beaver Works in Leeds. What was originally meant to be a one off party in 2012 has steadily grown from a 1 room event and a couple of hundred party people in attendance to well over 1000+ smiley ravers who travel from all over Europe (and sometimes the rest of the world) to join the Rejuvenation family to party in Leeds. Rejuvenation is now spread over 5 rooms plus the courtyard with DJ's and original PA's playing the very finest Old Skool, Hardcore, Trance, Breakbeat, Hard House and Italian sounds.

Theresurgence in old skool has seen Si dust off his vinyl again to play the music he loves at events across the UK and Europe including Cream, Bowlers MCR, Fantazia, History of House, Drop the Beat, Classix MCR, Retro, Forbidden Forest, Northern Project, The Secret MCR, More Cake, Back to the Old Pool, Back to the Dock Liverpool, The Zoo Project IBIZA, Es Paradis IBIZA, Strictly Old Skool IBIZA, Unity in the Sun CORFU and Tranzmission & Raindance in LONDON.
