Mathew Street Festival returns to Liverpool in new format after 10 year hiatus
Liverpool Celebrates is bringing a fab four days in partnership with the Mathew Street Festival. Celebrating Liverpool’s musical heritage, culture and people. With four individual events in the form of Friday’s Liverpool Legends, Saturday’s Party at the Pier, Sunday’s Mathew Street Legacy and ending in Monday’s Cavern Takeover.
Taking place across the August Bank Holiday (Friday 23rd - Monday 26th August), Liverpool Celebrates will commemorate the 10 year anniversary of the last Mathew Street Festival with dozens of acts to perform over the four-day music extravaganza.
The event’s format will see a centralised location at the Pier Head beneath the city’s prestigious Liver Buildings in a secure and managed ticketed event across the bank holiday, for ages 18 and over. Liverpool Celebrates - The Mathew Street Festival will be held in a similar style to other major music events in the same location and will be packed with food, drink and other entertainment options.
