Dimitri from Paris
(born Dimitri Yerasimos in October 1963) is a French producer and DJ. Contrary to his musical pseudonym, he was born not in Paris but in Istanbul, Turkey. He started out by DJ'ing at the French station Radio 7, before moving on to Skyrock and finally NRJ, one of the top radio groups in France, in 1986. There, he introduced the first ever house music show to be broadcast in France, while simultaneously producing runway soundtracks for fashion houses such as Chanel, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Hermès and Yves Saint-Laurent.

Joining Dimitri on the night will be the mighty Purple Disco Machine - still on top form from supporting Jamiroquai on tour last year.

In 2009 the project Purple Disco Machine was founded.

The sound of Purple Disco Machine is described by some as a 'Deep Funk'.In recent years, PDM composed many songs, including, 'My House', which was published by Off Recordings.

The PDM hype was lifted to a new level in the summer of 2013: The track stormed Beatport and reached Beatport Deep House #1 and overall #3 at peak and holds still in the Deep House Top15!

Tracks like 'Let It Whip' or 'I House You' and the numerous PDM remixes were received well on the dance floors.

Joining them is The Reflex - Noel Gallagher is a fan. Nile Rodgers is a fan. Kid Creole is a fan. Disclosure, Jazzy Jeff, and Eats Everything are all fans.

From house music royalty Joey Negro, Dimitri from Paris and Mousse T, to the original DJ/remix pioneers François K, Greg Wilson, Danny Krivit, all the way to Karizma, Mistajam, DJ Marky, Horse Meat Disco, J.Rocc, Jazzie B, Cut Killer, Rainer Truby, Acid Arab, Nightmares on Wax... They are all fans of The Reflex.

Fascinated by the remix from an early age, London-based French native Nicolas Laugier, aka The Reflex, takes his cue from the first wave of disco remixers by using only the original sounds from the master tapes (or stems) to breathe new life into soul, pop and disco classics.

Imaginative arrangements, boxfresh sonics and intricate editing make The Reflex Revisions rocket fuel for every DJ set.

Very few editors out there put as much time and detail into their work as The Reflex and the results speak for themselves: heavily championed by BBC6 Music’s Craig Charles, The Reflex Revisions have amassed over 50 weeks of radio play in just two years on this number one rated show. They have also found their way onto the playlists of tastemakers like Rob Da Bank, and Gilles Peterson, who last year sent the Michael Jackson ‘Rock With You’ Revision spinning around the globe.

But, it’s not all about the past for The Reflex;; Nicolas has also been applying his stems-only formula to contemporary tracks, showing off the strength of his ‘less is more’ approach on production over 35 official remixes for Noel Gallagher, Cerrone, The Kooks, Seun Kuti, Roy Ayers, Simply Red, Nile Rodgers.. Having clearly established himself as one of the best in the remix field, now is the time to sit up and take notice of this French DJ / producer doing it his way.

There are edits, many of them. Then there are The Reflex Revisions – quite simply... next level.

Between them, the Melon Bomb DJs hold down residencies at Ushuaia Hotel, Ushuaia Tower, Ocean Beach Ibiza, Hed Kandi Ibiza and Pikes Hotel / Ibiza Rocks House. You can also regularly catch them at both Carl Cox and Ferry Corsten at Space, providing the best backroom vibes on the island.

The brainchild of DJ Scott Gray (aka pop gothic artist Chapter), Ben Santiago, Paul Reynolds and Juan Corbi, Melon Bomb is clearly a creation by men of music who know Ibiza's dance floors like the back of their hands.

All members are capable of the most unbelievably fun-loving eclectic sets of old-school jams, soul, funk, disco, soulful house and whatever else jumps out from their collections at the moment.

Their word-of-mouth parties at Pikes (and secret rooftop sessions at Ushuaia Tower) have been the most talked about breakthrough events of the summer. You haven’t heard a music mix quite like it- yet.

Not to be missed!

Nick The Record has been quietly involved in the scene for the past 25 years, DJing, releasing the occasional record and selling rare Disco & Soul records to the stars.

He has spent most of his DJ career in Japan but over the last couple of years he has been spreading his music closer to home with sets at Dekmantel Selectors Festival & Phonox with MCDE, Garden Festival in Croatia, Sunset Campout in California, STARVUE(New York), DOLPHIN & TRESLE(Philadelphia), CONCRETE (Paris), CRUQUIUSGILDE(Amsterdam), ABOUT BLANK & SAMEHEADS(Berlin) as well as regular gigs in his home town Brighton at PATTERNS warming up for Maurice Fulton, Horse Meat Disco, Danielle Baldelli & Red Rack’Em.

Music Genres:

Deep House, Disco, Funky House, House, Retro House
