Performance Workshop // The Rebel Womxn on Saturday 28th March 2020

The Rebel Womxn is a 2 and 1/2 hours performance workshop created by Nocturnal - Arts & Events and facilitated in collaboration with Fanny Riot.

WHAT IT IS: It's a celebration of inter-sectional feminism and every womxn experience, through the use of contemporary performance as main explorative medium.

HOW ITS ORGANISED: The Rebel Womxn is aimed to anyone that wants to smash the patriarchy through community based performance in a fun and supportive environment.
We will be using chanting, movement, storytelling and physical release.
The first part of the workshop (3.15PM-4.15PM) is dedicated to legacy and strenghten community bonds, while the second part after the break (4.30PM - 5.45 PM) is physically engaged in a act of patriarchal destruction, through the smashing of a structure built in the first half.

WHO CAN ATTEND:The Rebel Womxn is open to anyone, the venue is fully accessible and it is not required a performance background. Due the nature of the workshop, potential triggers are loud noise and use of physicality for destruction, specially in the second half. We operate a open door ethos, so you are free to leave at any time you feel uncomfortable, either coming back or not.

WHO'S THE FACILITATORS:
Fanny Riot: Womxn-led protest provocateurs based in Glasgow/Edinburgh, they have been involved in most of the recent political events and marches, through the means of physical theatre and performance, quickly gaining reputation and inspired group of womxn to get together and become politically engaged.

Nocturnal - Arts & Events is an arts collective and social enterprise dedicated to emerging artists and community work through the means of performance, known for their ethos in transparency and network. They host scratch nights, deliver workshops, arts events and more.

PRICE: It's £20 per person, or £18 concession. We do also have other options, so if you feel unable to attend for economical reasons, please get in touch at info@nocturnalarts.co.uk
