Glasgow Streetsound Showcase #7 on Thursday 8th December 2022

Glasgow Streetsound in partnership with Buskers of Glasgow (https://linktr.ee/BuskersofGlasgow) is a live music showcase at Room 2 Live, aimed at giving recognition to Glasgow’s talented musicians and street performers and giving them the opportunity to play in a city centre venue with a world class Funktion-One sound system.

Join us for an evening of amazing live music from motopia ♾️, Flew The Arrow, Ivy Guo and Killer Whale. Please select the ticket option for the act you are primarily buying your ticket to support. £8+BF in advance. £10 on the door. 14+. Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult. ID required (birth certificate, driving licence - full or provisional, passport, Young Scot card). Tickets:

motopia ♾️: 'A singer-songwriter from Glasgow. Exploring folk sounds, accompanied by Andy McLaughlan on guitar, she invites everyone to be the most authentic version of themselves and finds comfort writing about her visions of this being expressed by a vast collective. She creates a space to appreciate the power of action, love and oneness and writes with the intention of anchoring a new level of consciousness.'

FLEW THE ARROW: 'The inner workings of acoustic guitarist and Folk singer Lee McGilvray, hailing from the West coast of Scotland in the small town of Ayr, and residing in Glasgow where he grows his reputation as an original Songwriter and Performer. Lee is set to release his next Double A-Side singles on vinyl record, titled ‘Huntress/The Warmth & The Weight’, as he begins a new chapter in the flight of the Arrow and expands his sound on record and on stage, giving insight into the direction of his song-craft and touching on influence from traditional sounds.'

IVY GUO: 'Born in Hong Kong and has spent her teenage life in Glasgow. Ivy began busking on the streets in Glasgow and Edinburgh in 2021. She was inspired by Adele and started creating her own music, with her new release, 'No Forever', which was inspired by her experiences: ' The set is all about my last relationship when I realised forever is impossible.'

KILLER WHALE: 'Born after a Summer of festivals, good times spent amongst good people, hippies, reprobates, fugitives, grooving to the boogie, selves lost in singalongs, deep chats round the campfire long into the morning. All such revelry, sadly, must end, often dying somewhere around the Autumnal Equinox and the comedown of the six-month Scottish darkness that is euphemistically termed “Winter”. Yet out of this crash, creativity often sprouts; out of the darkness, light; in the light, shadows; like the patterns on a killer whale.'

Thank you for your support and see you there!
