Review of Crookfest \'23
Event up to the usual extremely well run standard...the gentleman who organizes it works tirelessly to make sure everything necessary is covered months in advance. I usually give 5 stars across the board, but one or two acts a bit disappointing this time, but thats possibly more down to taste than anything wrong with them. Musically some outstanding bands which more than made up for the mud. Very little queueing for either toilets or bars and plenty of choice onsite for food and drink, with the town centre for free parking within a few hundred yards. Still the best value day out for music fans.
Already looking forward to 2024 which is all bands that have played before and been requested by attendees so should be epic...thanks again Marshall and team for another cracking day out :-)

Excellent organisation, atmosphere.and value. Some fabulous bands and no long queues. As the designated driver it would have been useful to know I didn’t need to buy tokens for soft drinks. We bought while in the queue and then couldn’t get them refunded.

Very good event.
Most music was brilliant and there was such a great range, there were a couple of sound issues.
Great use of marquees, possibly have them slightly further apart as the music was competing against each other .
But fab organisation, clear info, best ran bar, quick and efficient.

Music wise there was soul, Irish, ska, punk, heavy rock, light rock. This took place under 3 tent's. One of the tents had a well stocked bar. The clubhouse was open where there were tables to eat at, a bar, disco music playing and toilets.
It was an all day event. The is quite small, but that means you are not traipsing around a large area. Food wise not a lot of choice 2 catering vans. There were hats for sale but a bit pricey at £10, face painting /decorating a stall selling various accessories. A c**ktail bar, a can bar. The event organisers made sure there were plenty of porta loos.
Each time I have attended the event it has rained. It is held on part of a football pitch. It gets very muddy. Sensible footwear needs to be worn, with a spare pair to change into if you are driving.
Will definitely attend again 🙂❤️

Great venue and bands. Food and drink reasonably priced too.
Great day out which would have been even better if the weather was kind, but unfortunately it rained most of the day which meant the field was muddy, but really didn't allow it to spoil anything.
Looking forward to next year!
