An Evening with Melotone, Chicken Picnic & MUCH more on Saturday 14th December 2019
£3
MELOTONE / CHICKEN PICNIC
DJs:
LAURENTSS (Live Acid Set)
SHIM
So it begins...
Sisters and brothers, upon the horizon I see approaching a warm wave of relentless rhythms, riffs and respiratory breathing to shelter you from these cold winter months.
Leftbank is showcasing two of Bristol's finest new-wave bands to mesmerise you with their jazz-funk fusions. Afterwards, our shamanic DJ from another land (Cardiff) will conjure their acidic alchemy before your very eyes.
MELOTONE:
Jaunting, new-wave jazz. They follow an experimental vision by combining the rock of their Birmingham roots with funk-fusion progressions and the bossa nova influence upon Brazilian frontman.
Their demo EP, released June 2019, is a three-track, unpolished taster of their ambitions. 'Charmingly abstract' funk mingles with Portuguese vocals and bopping jazz bass-lines (WhiteLabel). For fans of Santana, Puma Blue and Connan Mockasin.

A five-piece of funky friends, hoping to bring a sweet and soulful sound to your ears. Expect a musical feast of pleasant tunes, captivating rhythms and heartfelt lyrics. For fans of Hiatus Kaiyote, Erykah Badu and D'Angelo.
