Review of The Secret Comedy Club Friday Late Show
great set with a great lineup. Welcoming and friendly staff/gig host.
Seating was very close/not much space at all, I head to learn forward or awkwardly twist in my seat so that my shoulder wasn't pushing the person next to me out of their seat. So this got pretty uncomfortable after a while.
Fairly expensive Gig but was a good line-up so i can understand. However the alcohol was pretty expensive. For 2 small glasses of white castillo diablo wine, it was £9. which is the same price as a whole bottle in the store.

Artista Studio and Gallery is a studio, exhibition/gallery space and event venue for hire in the heart of Brighton & Hove. Widely known for running some of the best comedy nights in Brighton, we have a fully licensed bar which we can operate until 2am and an in house sound-system and PA. There is also a kitchen for functions as the space was once a restaurant.
Artista holds many regular events such as music performances, jam sessions, open mics, comedy nights, spoken word events, freestyle sessions, burlesque nights, belly dancing, magic, life drawing and more!
All artists, art enthusiasts and everyone else are welcome at Artista and we hold monthly meetups where we encourage creative spontaneity in any form to try and bring the wider community of artist and art enthusiasts together.
Artista is an intimate venue where the lines are blurred between performers and audience and where audience participation is always welcome and encouraged.

Music Policy: We like all sorts of music here at Artista. We listen to everyting from blues and jazz to minimal techno and dupstep depending on the event. Live analog music or electronic producers we welcome it all.
