It's time for that midweek lesson in life enhancement; here's the latest roundup of essential events you need to get your head around.

Clubs

Above & Beyond en route to Birmingham, Hope Works turning three, Pier Jam's Part Four - just some of the upcoming highlights of an increasingly busy rave calender. There literally is so much to do, and you can see it all in our new and improved clubs section.

On top of that we caught up with Greg WilsonKarma Kid and the legendary DJ Premier this week, as well as got our mitts on a banging new mix from Hot Creations' Mark Jenkyns. Listen to that below.

Festivals

There's still a bit of festival action left this year, but not much. We've got a massive Creamfields competition, Festival No. 6 have added Steve Coogan, Reading & Leeds now boast a BBC Introducing stage and we plucked five of the best acts from the Garden Party.

That said, we're already thinking about next year, with Wickerman Festival and potential Glastonbury headliners on our brain.

Live Music

We caught up with Jason Pierce from legendary alternative group Spiritualized - a cracking read for anyone into the band. Elsewhere in the world of live music a new Tame Impala video, Keith Richards' solo albums and Foals off on tour has hit this week - plus we got misty eyed about Jamie T's Panic Prevention.

I'm off for a 26 hour bender in Ibiza - let's hope I make it back for next week.
