The Sleeping Giants started out as an after party jam, a bit of a laugh between James O'Hanlon and Craig Cunningham to keep the party going after a night out.

Then a video of the now infamous 'Caravan Song' was put online by a party goer and things changed.

James said "It's been crazy, I never knew it had been put up on facebook. I woke up and my phone was going bonkers. One of our friends sent it to the Scottish Banter page and it hit a million plays within three days"

The video has now wracked up over 81 thousand plays on youtube.

The band then realised they could be onto a winner as gig offers started coming in from all over the UK and Ireland.

"It was unbelievable, Cunny and I sat down and thought right lets take this seriously and get some tunes together and go for it. I still can't believe the feedback to the songs."

Not one to take himself seriously or get carried away James said,

"We just write tunes that would give our friends a laugh from stories we hear from round the scheme, or from some of our own experiences, but folk are really getting into it now."
