The gig list returns! It has been a little while since the last one was posted but we're here to share with you all the great live music that you can get a ticket to through Skiddle. We have a nice spread from across the UK today with a variety of genres from indie to pop and dance.

Featuring some of our favourite independent venues, we have some amazing gigs coming up this year and we can't wait to see you in the pit. Take a look at the events below and click on the titles for more information.

 

Katy J Pearson

When: Wednesday 28th September

Where: Hare and Hounds, Birmingham

Katy J Pearson is just about to release her anticipated second album Sound of the Morning which will expand her indie/country discography. Coming out on July 8th, you'll have plenty of time to learn the words before attending this show at the Hare and Hounds in Birmingham.

Boasting distinctive vocals and beautiful storytelling, she's a fascinating artist.

Jamie Webster

When: Sunday 9th November

Where: O2 Academy Leeds

Jamie Webster has really become a man of the people in the last couple of years. Initially gaining notoriety by soundtracking Liverpool Football Club's recent success, he has also become an advocate for mental health and released songs that appeal to working-class people who are often taken advantage of. 

Expect some absolute limbs at this Jamie Webster show in Leeds as his fans always give it their all.

Anvil

When: Thursday 13th October

Where: O2 Academy Islington, London

Anvil were the subject of a documentary in 2008 as it charted their quick rise to success that was preceded by a sharp decline into obscurity. Yet, all these years later, the Canadian heavy metal band have had a wave of new fans and they're in a healthier position than ever.

If you want to see a band who just live for playing gigs then look no further.

Abbie Ozard

When: Friday 9th December

Where: Bobiks, Newcastle Upon Tyne

Abbie Ozard is an indie-pop artist who is definitely on the rise. Having already made a name for herself in Manchester, she's bringing her songs across the UK and stopping off in Newcastle. With a new EP out, she'll be playing a bunch of new songs for you to enjoy at Bobiks.

Hatchie

When: Sunday 25th September

Where: The Louisiana, Bristol

Australian artist Hatchie is finally back in the UK, fresh off the back of releasing her second album Giving The World Away which further exemplified her dreamy pop credentials. Come and get completely lost in her sound at The Louisiana in Bristol you won't be disappointed.

Liam Gallagher

When: Thursday 15th September

Where: Alexandra Head, Cardiff Bay, Cardiff

It's not often you get to see a genuine icon play such a huge show in Cardiff Bay. Liam Gallagher, the better half of Oasis, will be playing his latest solo work and of course some Oasis classics. So get your dark fruits in and your parkas on in order to honour Manchester's finest.

Never short of swagger and attitude, Liam never puts on a bad show.

Hot Chip

When: Friday 5th August

Where: Junction 1, Glasgow

Hot Chip have some absolutely huge anthems, think of Ready For The Floor, Over and Over and Huarache Lights. Yet, their catalogue of music is absolutely stacked. They have a new album on the way this year and will undoubtedly be playing songs from their psychedelic album Bath Full of Ecstasy too.

James Bay

When: Tuesday 12th July

Where: The Cavern Club, Liverpool

Tickets for this event go on sale at 10am on Friday 1st July and you can sign up to be alerted below. James Bay will be playing an intimate show at The Cavern Club in Liverpool in order to celebrate his new album Leap. An iconic venue that is most famous for hosting The Beatles, this will be a great show.

Diiv

When: Tuesday 2nd August

Where: O2 Ritz, Manchester

Diiv are a rock band who have crafted an expertly dark aesthetic. They have gained plenty of fans in recent years and will be taking over the O2 Ritz in Manchester as part of a UK tour. Their last album Deceiver was incredible and there will undoubtedly be plenty of mosh pits all around you.

Courting

When: Wednesday 28th September

Where: Sidney and Matilda, Sheffield

Courting are an upcoming band who have collected plenty of hype in recent years which is all culminating in the release of their debut album Guitar Music which will be released on September 23rd. They'll be playing Sidney and Matilda in Sheffield and this may be your last chance to see them in such an intimate space.
