Sounds From The Other City announces full lineup and late night after parties

Edinburgh-born singer-songwriter, Hamish Hawk, Dutch indie quartet, Pip Blom, and Manchester favourites, Lovescene are just some of the many names recently added to the festivals already impressive lineup

Salford’s Sounds From the Other City Festival (SFTOC) has announced its full artist programme ahead of its eagerly awaited live return on the May Day Bank Holiday - Sunday 1st May 2022.

Filling some of the city's finest live music venues with outstanding live music - from Bexley Square and the Seven Bro7hers Beerhouse, to fivefourstudios, Hot Bed Press, the Old Pint Pot, Partisan, Porta, Regent Trading Estate, Saint Philip's Church and The New Oxford - recently announced acts the likes of Salford-formed psychedelic noise collective, GNOD, Edinburgh born singer-songwriter, Hamish Hawk, and regulars of Gilles Peterson's We Out Here festival, Manchester neo-soul band, Lovescene will join an assemblage of various other quality live acts. 

Also set to light up the festivals spiritual home of Chapel Street will be fresh female DJ collective, Queer Latifah, Amsterdam’s beamy-grinned, indie-pop powerhouse, Pip Blom, as well as RnB/pop artist, and daughter of Neneh Cherry - TYSON.

Already confirmed to perform at the springtime all-dayer are LYR (Land Yacht Regatta), the brainchild of UK Poet Laureate Simon Armitage, DJs from the Daytimers, the popular South Asian DJ collective, Chandé and Gracie T, much celebrated British electronic music producer, Holy Other, and Jazz-infused hip hop vocalist, Layfullstop, to name a few.

Following on from the scores of live gigs happening throughout the day, SFTOC's official after party soiree's at fivefourstudios, the Old Pint Pot and YES Manchester will take those who refuse to turn in early through into the small hours, with music courtesy of a handful of renowned party brands. Electronic event curators, Bohemian Grove will bring their expertise to the fore, with new kids on the block, Piano in the City, celebrating Amapiano music coming from South Africa via Manchester, and the tour de force of Freak Queer Rave collaborating with Creatures to celebrate 'the other' till the early hours.
