It's getting towards that time of the year where things are starting to open up a bit more as part of the government's roadmap. Each week we are getting more and more exciting events added to Skiddle as we gear up for what should be a great summer.

With test events all going smoothly, things are starting to look up!

This week we have a whole host of brilliant events, from the return of Cirque Du Soul, who are popping up in Nottingham, to a huge rave headlined by Charlotte De Witte in Manchester and a new Drum and Bass festival that is taking place in the centre of Leeds. There will be no short supply of events this year!

Cirque Du Soul: Nottingham

When: Monday 21st June

Where: Rock City, Nottingham

June 21st is the date we're all making plans for. The day where those last few restrictions are lifted and we're able to get back into clubs again for the first proper night out in a long time. Where better to spend your time then, than at Cirque Du Soul? 

Coming to Nottingham's Rock City venue, the travelling carnival of unlimited energy and colour will be hosting a truly unforgettable night. They request that only the most vibrant of party goers need to apply, expect a night of great House, Techno, dance music and more with some mind-blowing production.

XXL Presents Charlotte De Witte, Wallis & Kander

Where: 02 Victoria Warehouse, Manchester

Manchester's Victoria Warehouse is notorious for hosting immense gigs and raves and that's exactly why XXL will be bringing Charlotte De Witte, Wallis & Kander to the venue.

It's going to be a massive night of huge tunes. Manchester locals Kander will be taking to the stage after having various residencies throughout the city before the much-adored Charlotte De Witte takes to the stage to set the warehouse alight. This looks as though it's going to be an unmissable one.

WAH- Hybrid Minds ft Degs

When: Friday 24th September

Where: Digital, Newcastle Upon Tyne

WAH is welcoming Hybrid Minds and Degs up to Newcastle in September. The headliners will be bringing their typically euphoric set of liquid drum and bass with them, which makes them one of the most exciting bass acts around at the moment.

Multi-faceted MC Degs will be on hand to amp up the energy beforehand as well as a few names that are yet to be revealed. These two names alone make for a really strong lineup, so be quick to grab yourself a ticket!

Martha Wainwright Live

When: Friday 24th September

Where: The Leadmill, Sheffield

Martha Wainwright will be making an appearance at The Leadmill in Sheffield this year, bringing her wonderful discography along with, for a set that will surely be remarkable. She will also have tracks from her latest album 'Love Will Be reborn' which will be released in August.

Expect an evening of intimate songs and old classics, as Martha's unwavering voice echoes fill the space around The Leadmill. It's going to be a special night of entertainment.

The Old Block Road- S.P.Y ft MC Lowqui & More

Where: Leeds City Centre

This year Leeds is getting its first-ever inner-city bass music festival, with over 11 hours of music planned in an open-air setting. With a whole host of names across Drum n Bass, Jungle, Dancehall, Breaks and more, this lineup is looking absolutely massive.

Names such as S.P.Y, MC Lowqui, Conducta and Sherelle will all be taking to the stage to give the heart of Leeds the party that it deserves. There's no doubt that this is an incredibly exciting event for the city and you won't want to miss out on a full day of phenomenal talent.

The Old Block Road will be making a huge statement with their first edition.

Origin Festival Presents: Noughty Nineties

Where: Hudson's Field, Salisbury

Ever wanted to take a time machine to the not so distant past? Well at Origin Festival Presents Noughty Nineties you can! This new event will see a lineup of artists from the nineties and the noughties come together to give you some much-needed nostalgia. 

Tinchy Stryder, S Club and The Honeyz are the acts that have been confirmed to be playing so far which means it's shaping up to have a lineup of classic artists who have some memorable hits. 5,000 people will be welcomed into the festival and will have a huge range of food and drink to choose from to keep spirits high.

WAH- Holy Goof & More

Where: Dreamland in Margate, Kent

WAH is welcoming Holy Goof down beside the seaside of Margate for an exciting night that is sure to sell out. Holy Goof being at the forefront of UK bass culture right now, he has surely made a huge impact on electronic music.

Known for a direct sound that is heavy and energetic, he will be bringing all of that to his headline slot. There are also some more names to be announced for this, so keep your eyes peeled for more news on what is going to be a killer night.

Andy C + Special Guests

When: Saturday 21st August

Where: Dreamland in Margate, Kent

Andy C has curated an incredible lineup for a festival in Margate this year. As well as headlining the event himself, he's got Dimension, High Contrast and Dillinja on board and many more names too! It's going to be a day of spectacular Drum and Bass mayhem across two stages, one indoor and one outdoors.

A full day featuring all these great acts is very tempting indeed, with an after-party taking place too, meaning that this one will go well into the early hours. This is one that simply cannot be missed!

The Move Bank Holiday Open Air Special

Where: Millers Rock, Stoke On Trent

There aren't many better excuses in the year to go a bit mad than over a bank holiday weekend. That's exactly what you should do this August at The Move Bank Holiday Open Air Special, a place to forget all previous COVID woes. The Move have been putting on great events in Stoke for a while now.

This will be their biggest ever, finding a space to put on Stoke's largest ever outdoor dance event in Hanley city centre. It's their most ambitious event to date and they are incredibly excited to show people what they've been planning. 

So get ready for a huge dance party down in Stoke with The Move!
