On November 27th the legendary Hed Kandi release what has already become one of the biggest vocal tracks of the year. Stand if you want to. Stare if you want to. But we’ve got to party. It’s time to cut a rug. Oh, yes. ‘Boogie 2Nite.’

Now before I continue any further with the PR speel, well this could go two ways. It, in it's simplest essence (especially the Tweet version) is a brilliant track. I've watched the video, like you can do as well, and it doesn't seem to have been destroyed in a way you know it could. I'm sure it'll be propping up my gay house collection some more, and there's nothing wrong with that. However, if the unfortunate happens, and the likes of the Radio One playlist get hold of this track, well you WILL hate it within a weeks time. Just like that song about Denmark, or Detroit, or whatever. Anyhow, we continue...

The original R&B version was a massive club hit for R&B superstar Tweet in 2002, ‘Boogie 2Nite’ became an unofficial Hed Kandi anthem at their nights across the country, but it never got the full attention it deserved. Now those sensible Kandi chaps have drafted in a host of remixers, to ensure that ‘Boogie2Nite’ takes up its rightful place at the top of the charts.Seamus Haji & DB Boulevard provide the radio edits, lacing the glitterball vocals with an electro bassline so chunky you’ll have to take the door off its hinges just to get it in the house. DB Boulevard, who are probably best know for their massive hit ‘Point Of View’, inject a subtle but funky strut to the original, transforming it into a diva house anthem.

Other mixes come courtesy of Tommy Vee vs. Kelle, who steer proceedings in a tougher electro direction, fresh for today’s dancefloors. Danny Freakzoid strips the track down to the bare bones, before building it back up into a rasping minimal monster, and Paleface finishes off the package with a bass line house re-rub.

The soulful vocals on ‘Boogie2Nite’ are provided by none other than Nadia and Cherise from chart-topping hip-pop act Big Brovaz. The girls notched up a series of UK hits, including the massive ‘Nu Flow’ (UK Number 3), ‘Favourite Things’ (UK Number 2) and ‘Baby Boy’ (UK Top 5), as well as recording the platinum selling ‘Nu Flow’ album and walking away with MOBOs for Best Newcomers and Best UK Act of the Year. Not bad for a debut album. As well as providing the vocals for Booty Luv, the pair are gearing up to release a new Big Brovaz album.

So grab your coat, get your keys and join Hed Kandi as they find a place, a place where we can boogie, releasing the phenomenal vocal anthem ‘Boogie2Nite’ on November 27th.
