7 weeks of tunes to remind us what our Friday nights used to look like.

Hidden, the award winning music and arts playground, based in Manchester has launched its very own radio show.

The club, which is usually a bustling, late-night operation with neon lights, a dance floor and live DJs on a typical Friday night, looks very different in 2020. Much like most of the UK scene. But, at last, some positive news for us to think about.

Over the next 7 weeks, Hidden will be going live with a true representation of Manchester’s clubbing calendar, in radio form.

Hosted by Hidden residents Martin Loose-cuts and Anton Fitz - Homoelectric, Meat Free, Strange Riddims and Left, Right and Centre will feature alongside a mix of some of the best local DJs and brands.

First of all, let's cover the basics, how've you all been keeping in 2020?

"We're as good as can be. I know we're all in the same boat with what's going on at the minute, but we're all healthy and happy which is all you can ask for."

What brought about the radio show?

"We've done Hidden radio shows on a couple of different stations in the past and we wanted to do something more regular that we had more control over to represent a true output for the music played in the club. Music brings people together and we hope the radio show can be used to connect the DJs and promoters with their usual crowds."

What guests have you got lined up for the shows?

"We've got a great set of local DJs, Promoters and Brands involved, including Homoelectric, Meat Free, Left, Right + Centre and Strange Riddims, with their residents playing alongside our own. We also have a UKG special with Interplanetary Criminal, Hanz and LUXE."

You're releasing the first show in lockdown. Do you think people are in need of this show now more than ever?

"Yes, definitely. We needed to explore more ways to connect and this feels like the most natural given the current climate. We hope the people stuck at home find this a good source of entertainment and that they can get something like they're used to from the social interaction on our platform."

Has Hidden got anything planned for post-lockdown? 2021?

"We have something to offer for every scenario now, so we're staying ready to adapt and we'll be here in some form for every predicted outcome. If live events and shows get the go ahead, we're ready for that too, having rescheduled the majority of this year's calendar into 2021."

Tune in every Friday, 9pm until midnight. This Friday's opening show features residents, Martin Loose-Cuts, Anton Fitz + Hans Schmit.
