Taking over the Baltic Triangle between Friday 1st and Sunday 3rd June, Liverpool promoters Abandon Silence and 24 Kitchen Street are gearing up for for what is set to be another blinding weekend of house, techno, grime, bass music and more.

As we prepare to head down for round two, following the success of Baltic Weekender's 2017 debut, we selected five acts that we can't wait to experience this year.

Mike Skinner

Find Mike Skinner tickets

Fresh off the back of The Streets sell out UK tour, Mike Skinner goes solo at this year's festival. If past experience is anything to go by, his set will be an absolute party starter, jam packed with a genre jumping combination of UKG, jungle, house and everything in between, peppered with bangers, classics and his own productions, old and new.

Krystal Klear

Find Krystal Klear tickets

With the Italo sound rearing its head at the moment, one of the DJs delivering the goods most regularly is Krystal Klear. Through his well-respected Cold Tonic label he's bringing back dreamy chords, blurring the lines between house and funk. His infectious 'Neutron Dance' is making its way into tonnes of DJ sets at the moment, and rightly so, it's sure to be one of summer 2018's biggest dance tracks.

Romare

Purveyor of the finest hazy electronica, Romare's thoughtful, intelligent productions, update traditional african-american formats to create sounds that work within modern dance music. We predict his set will be packed out at this year's Baltic Weekender.

Ms Banks

Find Ms Banks tickets

UK rapper, Ms Banks is certainly making waves within the genre. She's stated she wants to take the South London sound global and with accolades from Nicki Minaj and a support slot with Cardi B, it seems that's exactly what she's done.

Breakwave

Find Breakwave tickets

Liverpool-raised Breakwave has spent the past two years or so carving a reputation as one of the underground's most exciting new techno acts, something which is reiterated with her bi-monthly NTS Radio Manchester shows and various key gigs within the city.

She's also behind the Deep Sea Frequency record label alongside Or:la, and the successful Meine Nacht parties which take place in some of Liverpool's most interesting and unusual spaces. Her genuine passion for her local scene and involvement with a wider dance music community has never been more apparent.
