The UK's only professional sport and music festival, NASS is an all action affair with an emphasis on bass music, rock, hip hop and anything that gets the blood pumping quite frankly.

Public Enemy and Enter Shikari were two of the acts that topped the bill last year whilst there were also appearances from pro skaters and BMX bikers. The festival will be held at the Royal Bath and West Showground in Shepton Mallet over the weekend of 8th-10th July and the acts will perform over four stages.

We dusted off our copy of Tony Hawk Pro Skater before choosing our top five acts performing at the festival.

Jurassic 5

The iconic chorus from 'Concrete Schoolyard' is more than enough to sum up Jurassic 5. Put simply there'll be playground tactics, no rabbit in a hat tricks, just that classic rap shit from Jurassic. The real live MCs from LA will bring old school styles and lessons in hip hop when they descend on Shepton Mallet. Skateboarding and hip hop go hand in hand and Jurassic 5 will provide the most laid back accompaniment of the weekend.

FIDLAR

It goes without saying that a festival like NASS would be nothing without a skatepunk band like FIDLAR. Buried in the middle of their eponymous début album is a track called 'Wake, Bake and Skate' and their frenetic stylings would have been the ideal backing track for a Bam Margera montage on Jackass. Their latest release, 2015's Too is decidedly more mature but the punk spirit certainly remains and this will make their set more than just a gimmick.

Caspa & Rusko

Undoubtedly the two producers that pushed dubstep from select clubs in Croydon to the masses across the UK and beyond, Caspa and Rusko honed the sound of the burgeoning genre for maximum party damage, with their FabricLive mix at the end of 2007 ensuring dubstep's rise from the underground.

The re-emergence of the duo has been met with huge cheers from clubs and festival sites across the world, with a new show that nods to the '07 sound combined with the latest developments in bass music. Expect their NASS appearance to contort your bass face in ways you didn't know possible.

Andy C

Up there with Randall as the best drum&bass selector of all time, the Ram Records mastermind's stature is such that last year he sold out Alexandra Palace, a 10,000 capacity venue, with just him on the bill.

Love for him in the scene is absolute and with good reason, he's been vital to the development of drum&bass as a superpower in dance music, and his label continues to push out the very best in high tempo, rib-rattling club music - witness that in his live Essential Mix above. Miss his set at your peril. Read our Andy C interview here.

Oneman b2b My Nu Leng

For sheer DJing prowess, the Swamp 81 affiliated Oneman should always be a must-see wherever you are. The fact he's going back to back with the Black Butter signed My Nu Leng lads makes this even more essential. Expect a set that will leave no stone unturned, from house to grime, trap to any number of bass mutations, there's no way on earth that this set won't blow the roof clean off.
