First wave of artists added to Nova Batida line up

The team behind Lisbon's brand new festival Nova Batida has confirmed the first wave of artists who will play the inaugural event, which takes place between Friday 14th and Sunday 16th September.

Mount Kimbie bring their idiosyncratic brand of downbeat electronica, alongside soul steeped electronic duo Maribou State and experimental techno producer Max Cooper. Joining them on the Nova Batida line up are a slew of similarly impressive acts, including George Fitzgerald, Gilles Peterson and DJ Marky, amongst more. 

The festival will take over the popular Portuguese destination, transforming it into Europe's creative hub for the weekend with an array of music, art and culture. As well as the activity in the city centre there are loads of other ways to make the most of being in the up and coming town, with a whole host of surf classes, beach parties, yoga sessions and more available.
