Uptempo reggae-influenced band and perennial festival favourites Dreadzone have announced they will tour the UK in early 2019. The band will play dates including The Mill in Birmingham on Saturday 2nd March, The Fleece in Bristol on Friday 15th March, The Sugarmill in Stoke-on-Trent on Friday 5th April and Band On The Wall in Manchester on Friday 12th April.

Formed by one time Big Audio Dynamite drummer Greg Roberts in 1993, Dreadzone emerged with a sound that, like B.A.D. Was influenced by reggae. But Dreadzone's music was produced in full awareness of the rave zeitgeist and, as a result, the band courted large live audiences that were made up of reggae fans, clubbers and festival goers.

Among their earliest successes were shows at Glastonbury and then on the same circuit as rave crossover events such as Megadog. Their uptempo sound was much more party-minded and easy to dance to than standard reggae sounds and has helped them maintain a strong live following ever since. They have to date recorded ten albums, with their latest 'Dread Times' being released in 2017 on their own Dubwiser label.
