What's included in each ticket type?
GENERAL
This ticket guarantees admission to the 3 days of the festival mainstage and small stage area.
GENERAL PLUS
In addition to access to the General ticket privileges, holders of this ticket will also have:
1) Fast-track queue to get into the festival areas
2) Use a fast-track queue to get drinks on the festival grounds
3) Get free access to the official afterparty at the festival grounds (Alfândega do Porto)
Subject to pre-booking: Pre-booking process will be communicated to each ticket holder
VIP
In addition to the General Plus ticket privileges, holders of this ticket type will have:
Free access to one extra activity (Rooftop, Boat or Hard Club Afterparty) per day or Coliseu do Porto concerts (Amapiano, Alte etc.)
Subject to pre-booking: Pre-booking process will be communicated to each ticket holder
PLATINUM
In addition to the VIP ticket privileges, holders of this ticket type will have:
1) Access to a Platinum stage lounge with dedicated bars & rest rooms
2) Free access to two extra activities (Rooftop, Boat or Hard Club Afterparty) per day
Subject to pre-booking: Pre-booking process will be communicated to each ticket holder
The festival’s main site will be located at the Douro riverbank in Porto, Portugal, in the Alfândega do Porto. The other venues will mostly be within walking distance. The festival's main stage is outdoors. However, there will be loads of other activities going on indoors as well as an official afterparty indoors daily after the main event.
Trace Made in Africa Festival is an 16+ only event and you will need ID to prove your age to guarantee entry. To purchase alcoholic beverages at the festival you must be over 18.
No food or drink will be allowed into Trace Made In Africa however you may bring an empty hydration pack and fill it up. There will be a wide range of food and drinks available to purchase inside the festival. It is forbidden to enter the venue with any type of food, drinks, bottles, cans, glass and plastic cups.
There is no dedicated camping site for ticket holders, although there are several camping sites in Porto.

Does the festival offer special assistance?
There’s a reserved area for people with reduced mobility with an excellent view of the stage. All people with reduced mobility, as well as their companion (one per person), are entitled to use this area, as long as both have a valid ticket. There are also dedicated W&Cs for people with reduced mobility, both inside and outside the Alfândega do Porto venue. Every festival attendee is very important to us so please let us know at the entrance and we will assist you.
What is the nearest airport?
The nearest airport is Francisco Sá Carneiro or simply Porto airport. It is an international airport located 12 km from the main venue, in the centre of Porto. You can also land at Humberto Delgado airport, in Lisbon, which is also an international airport. From there you can travel to Porto by train, in a trip that takes little over 2 hours, or by plane on a 40 minutes flight. You can also take a bus or an Uber, in a 2h30 ride to the centre of Porto.
How long is it from the airport?
By car, it’s approximately 20 minutes via A28, via Norte/N14 or via N13. By train, it’s between 45 minutes and 1 hour.
