Accessibility Information
The Big Feastival has been made as accessible as possible. However, The Big Feastival is an outdoor event in fields that could pose problems, particularly in wet weather, for mobility and there will be large volumes of people and noise to take into consideration for those with learning difficulties. Free tickets will be provided for carers for those with physical and mental difficulties.
Disabled customers are offered:
• The campsite includes accessible toilets, showers and water points. • Accessible toilets • Viewing area • Disabled parking (you will need to have your blue badge on display) • Stewards to help with difficulties that may arise over the weekend • Free ticket for a personal assistant or carer
You should buy your ticket BEFORE applying for accessible camping or for your carer’s free ticket. You will need to quote your booking reference and contact info@big-feastival.co.uk. We will also need a copy of your current DLA letter or copies of appropriate supportive medical documentation for qualification of the carer ticket.
Travelling to/from the festival
The Big Feastival site is on Alex James’ farm near Kingham, Oxfordshire, OX7 6UJ. Kingham is a village in the Cotswolds about 4 miles southwest of Chipping Norton. It’s easy to get to whether you are travelling by car, train or bus.
By Car
Driving to The Big Feastival is really easy from all parts of the UK. We recommend car sharing if you can.
With the average 100 mile car journey leading to over 20 kg of CO2 being produced, goCarShare has the potential to reduce the festival’s carbon footprint considerably. It’s a great way to save money if you are driving and, as it is built around Facebook, you can see if your friends are going, find like-minded people to travel with, and check people out before agreeing to share.
‘By travelling in a full car, festival-goers carbon emissions become comparable to taking the train…… so it can make a real difference.’ (Source: DEFRA Report). Click here to ‘car share’
There are many companies offering chances to car share including Festival RideShare
By Rail
The closest railway station is Kingham, which is just a 3min walk to the festival. From London Paddington it is approximately 1hr 30mins to Kingham, with regular trains also running to and from Oxford, Reading, Worcester and Hereford.
