Alternative evidence to support your claim.
Blue Badge – this alone will not entitle you to a PA/Carer ticket, but it will allow you to use any disabled parking bays in any designated car parks.
PLEASE NOTE: Accessible facilities are only available for persons with permanent disabilities.
If you are unable to provide evidence of disability, you will not be entitled to a free ticket for a personal assistant. Once all documentation has been received and processed, you will receive confirmation by email.
VIEWING AREAS/PLATFORMS
There will be viewing areas (not raised) marked out to enable viewing of the stages – these are most relevant for use by wheelchair users and those unable to stand for long periods. These customers will be given priority in accessing the viewing areas and seating will be provided on a first-come-first-served basis. Please check with the Information Tent for any changes to viewing platforms/areas during the festival. Accessible toilet(s) will be located close by.
Your personal assistant or a family member/friend will also have a pass for access to the viewing area when accompanying you.
ACCESS TO PERFORMANCE
Unfortunately, at this time they are unable to offer British Sign Language / Captioning / Audio Description, however, this may be available at future MERAKI Festival Events.
STROBE LIGHTING
PLEASE NOTE: Some of the music performances may include strobe lighting. There will not be a warning immediately before a period of strobe lighting. We will endeavour to provide general warning signs around the main stage if strobe lighting is to be used.
