Deva Fest information & FAQs
Deva Fest takes place Thursday 8th - Sunday 11th August 2024.
It will be open for three full days.
If you have booked Camping for a Thursday arrival you may arrive from Midday on Thursday and there will be a limited number of facilities available, including entertainment on the Heart & Soul stage on Thursday evening from 1800 to 2300.
Gates open at midday for each of the days and aim to finish around 11pm.
Camping: You need Deva Fest Weekend Camping Tickets AND either a pitch reservation for your party OR a valid glamping reservation to stay on site. Parking is included within a pitch reservation. You must have as many pitch reservations as tents or live-in vehicles that you bring.
Visiting for the day: Buy a day ticket (or a weekend one with no camping if you want to travel in every day and not camp), then add the bus shuttle if you are on one of the routes and don’t fancy driving.
Car parking for day guests is charged at a token £1 to allow numbers to be managed.
Yes – If you want to camp then you must buy a camping weekend ticket (standard weekend tickets do not include camping).
Either bring your own tent or live-in vehicle and stay in the Deer Park or new Polo Field Campsite
Or if you want to do the festival in style you can book an exclusive Glamping bell tents in Camp Deva.
Deva Fest offer Complimentary Carers Tickets subject to these conditions:
If you’re disabled – or have recently had an operation that will affect your mobility at the event this year – and require an assistant to enable you to attend the festival, Deva Fest are happy to provide you with an extra ticket for them, free of charge.
They ask you to provide proof of ID registered in your name, such as the following (please blank out any sensitive information):
Front page of DLA / PIP (no specific rate)
Front page of Attendance Allowance letter (no specific rate)
Evidence that you are registered severely sight impaired (blind)
A Recognised Assistance Dog ID card
Credability’s Access Card
Please email us this evidence to hello@devafest.co.uk telling them which day(s) you want to come and how many people are in your party and they will work out the best package for you confirm that the evidence sent is accepted.
Under normal circumstances it's one carer ticket per party. There must be at least one paying person in your party to allow you to apply for a carers ticket.
Note the festival do not provide free carers tickets for temporary mobility issues such as a broken bone.
Getting to Deva Fest couldn’t be easier!
Deva Fest takes place in the grounds of the fabulous Cholmondeley Castle in Cheshire, which is around thirteen miles south-east of the famous City of Chester.
Cholmondeley is accessed directly from the A49 and is a short drive from the A41, so whether you are traveling from the North West, Midlands, Yorkshire or North Wales we are just a hop away!
Deva Fest is held at Cholmondeley Castle Estate in Malpas.
No. This would hold up the thousands of people entering the Deva Fest. If there are any tickets left for sale by the day of the event you will still be able to buy them online.
Deva Fest will be offering shuttle buses for day guests to attend the festival.
Two services per day will operate from Ellesmere Port, Chester, Wrexham, Rossett, Gresford, Tarporley, Tattenhall, & Holt to and from the festival on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Times will be available shortly. Services will run at the start and end of each day.
Return cost is £10 per person.
The site at Deva Fest is fairly flat and compact and we do not anticipate access issues for those with mobility problems or small children. Blue Badge parking is available at the festival field entrance.
Deva Fest do not have wheelchairs for hire on site, nor will there be scooter charging facilities.
If you have any concerns or specific enquires please get in touch by mailing hello@devafest.co.uk
The festival does take place on a field, so if there is a lot of rain this may be soft underfoot.

Electric Hook Ups, Pitch Reservations and Getting your Tickets
Wristbands will be posted out in the middle of July. A signature is required on receipt.
Electric Hook Up pitches will be numbered and allocated. If you want to stay next to a friend and you all have EHU pitches please fill in the form on Deva Fest's website.
Pitches without EHUs will not be pre-allocated and you can choose your space when you arrive. If you want to stay next to a friend on a non-EHU we strongly recommend arriving at the same time.
For logistical reasons non EHU guests will not be able to camp next to EHU guests. Similarly we cannot guarantee that non EHU live-in vehicle guests will be able to camp next to non EHU tent guests.
There are no age restrictions for Deva Fest. If your child is under 5 on the dates of the festival they are admitted free of charge. Please select a free ticket for them when you check out.
The volunteers of NCT Chester will be on hand all weekend with their Feed and Change tent. If you are attending with your little ones, look out for them!
Deva Fest Family 2 Weekend Camping Tickets allow two adults and two children of any payable age (so either 13-17 teens and/or 5-12 children) to attend the event at a discount to buying individually.
Deva Fest also offer a Family 1 ticket which allows two adults and one child or teen to stay.
You still need a pitch or glamping reservation to go with them.
If you have more than four in your party use the Family 2 ticket as a base and add on the extra people you need.
You can use either Family Weekend Camping Ticket as a base ticket for ANY campsite as long as you add on the correct pitch or glamping reservation.
If the shuttle buses aren’t going your way, the nearest mainline railway stations are Chester and Crewe. Both are served by direct services from Manchester, Liverpool, London, the West Midlands and North Wales. Taxis from either location will cost in the region of £30-35.
You can plan your journey by rail at nationalrail.co.uk
A number of accessible camping pitches are available at the front of the campsite nearest to the festival field entrance. You can request one of these by emailing hello@devafest.co.uk
Please only request one of these if you are mobility impaired.

All pitches on this field are unreserved. You can choose your space when you arrive. If you want to stay next to a friend we strongly recommend arriving at the same time.
We cannot guarantee that live-in vehicle guests will be able to camp next to tent guests.
The short answer is no. Like any other festival, concert or event, tickets are not refundable. The organisers have to be able to plan with confidence for the event – we need to book everything from toilets to security and rides and we can only do that with a good idea of the numbers who will attend. If you can’t come you can gift your tickets to a friend and they can attend by forwarding your booking email to them.
Cholmondeley Castle is in a rural area and you may not be able order taxi services from the festival on the night of the event. If you are planning to get home by taxi please book your journey home before the event.
- Live In Vehicles & Tents
- Electric Hook Ups Available (additional cost)
- Short Walk to Festival Field
- Other Facilities as Deer Park Campsite
You will be able to leave and re-enter the festival site – just show your wristband.
Camping: You will receive an e-ticket when you book, but we will post you your wristbands and (for electric hook-ups only) pitch reservation details and electric hook up sheet to display on your dashboard around three weeks prior to the event.
Glamping: our providers James Dean Events will contact you to make arrangements for you to access the event.
Day and Weekend No Camping Tickets: you will be sent e-tickets when you book. The bar code on your e-ticket will be scanned when you arrive at the festival and exchanged for a wristband to access the event. Either print the ticket at home with a good quality printer or show it on your mobile device when you arrive to gain entrance.
If you lose the email with the e-ticket on it drop us a line on social media or hello@devafest.co.uk and we can resend it to you.

Please keep noise to a minimum after 10pm.
You may consume sensible amounts of your own alcohol within the campsites. You cannot take alcohol onto the festival field.
Anti social behaviour will not be tolerated. You will be asked to leave and will not be entitled to a refund.
In a change to 2023 policy cars will no longer be permitted to park with tents on any of the campsites. In the Deer Park you may drive to your pitch to unload and will then need to park your car in a nearby car park. In the Polo Field you will need to take your equipment to your pitch on foot from the car park.
Yes you can, but for security reasons all bags will be searched. Please have bags open when you arrive ready to be searched to prevent delays.

All Weekend Camping Tickets INCLUDE FESTIVAL ADMISSION and your pitch booking includes car parking.
You have two options on when you can arrive at Deva Fest:

Whilst dogs are welcome at Deva Fest they are not allowed to stay inside the glamping tents.
You may bring in festival chairs, festival carts, rugs, wind breakers and gazebos in to Deva Fest. For everyone’s comfort you may not use these items in the big top near to the stage.
The box office allows you to buy Weekend Camping Tickets without purchasing a pitch or glamping accommodation. If you want to share with someone who already has a pitch reserved, or with space in their glamping tent, check out without buying a pitch.
If you have been given tickets or want to join friends but don’t want to share with them you need to reserve a pitch for yourself. You can reserve a pitch without buying tickets by clicking here. Remember that you need tickets AND a pitch OR glamping reservation.
You will be able to arrive on Friday morning from 9am if you are staying on our camping and caravan sites on a standard ticket.
New for 2024 – we are selling a limited number of Thursday arrival tickets which allow you to arrive from Midday.
This is a great option if you want to kick back for longer at the festival and arrive at your leisure. Note that the festival field will not be fully open on Thursday. It will open from 6pm to 11pm for Thursday Campers ONLY. There will be one stage of entertainment with a selection of food and drink available. All other attractions (such as fairground rides) will remain closed until the festival fully opens on Friday at midday.
You can stay on site until Midday on Monday.
Yes, dogs are welcome but are expected to be on leads at all times and you must clean up after them.
Dogs are not allowed into the big top (which is where the main stage is). A dog’s ears are more sensitive than a human’s and loud music in an enclosed area can scare or upset a dog.
Your four legged friend can also stay with you if you are camping whether you are staying in a tent or campervan/caravan
For everyone’s comfort and safety, Deva Festival is a no-smoking site. You may smoke within your own live-in vehicle or tent if you are staying on site. You may not smoke in the Camp Deva Glamping bell tents.
You may vape on site, but not in enclosed areas.
Please do not embarrass yourself by trying to bring drugs into a family friendly festival. Anyone caught using illegal substances will be asked to leave immediately and the festival have no choice under the terms of their license but to call Cheshire Police. Please don’t do it.
Each booking is given a space of 8 metres x 8 metres to accommodate both your vehicle and any tents or caravans.
Most cars are around 4-5m long and about and up to 2m wide, whilst caravans are typically 3-6.5m long and a similar width to a car so you will be able to pretty much anything into your pitch comfortably.
Deva Fest take their obligations to local residents very seriously and comply with the venue’s licence in relation to festival goers getting to and leaving the site, noise pollution and the times at which the event opens and closes. Contact hello@devafest.co.uk if you have any questions for the organisers.
They have made a number of complimentary and discounted tickets available to residents of the Estate and those in the very immediate area. Please contact eo@chol-estates.co.uk to confirm your eligibility.
You will not be able to light fires, firepits or BBQs in the camping areas, whether on or off the ground. Stoves with enclosed flames maybe used as long as any heated elements are not in direct contact with the ground.
