A workshop that is available all day everyday and bookable on arrival, where little hands can learn how to make all types of slime be it fluffy, glossy or crunchy The Slime Sisters have it covered!
Slime time is always great fun plus its quick and easy each participant will make a small amount of slime which is theirs to keep, free of charge.
Lip Sync Battles
A new addition back in 2018 line-up, due to the very popular musically (now Tik Tok) that took over our household, we knew it had to be added. It was a huge success and of course we are bringing it back for 2022! We hope to see some serious choreography, and well versed performances. So swallow that stage fright and take to the stage!
Award Winning Street Food
Our food court this year is sponsored by The Funky Bear group, who will not only be in attendance with their mouthwatering menu items that locals know and love from their restaurants in Sutton coldfield, Solihull and soon to be Digbeth, they will also be serving some of their superb cocktails too, plus the The Funky Bear Mascot will also be in attendance all weekend.
With all food preferences and dietary requirements catered for the food and drink offerings of BFF are superb and it’s easy to forget you are in a field and not in a restaurant with some of the mouth watering offerings. From, halloumi chips, greek kebabs, jerk chicken, hand made wood fired pizzas to freshly prepared salad boxes and handmade cakes, waffles and brownies you can wash them down with juices, smoothies, milkshakes, freshly brewed teas or coffees. Great food is always available along with child friendly portions and choices too.
Family Karaoke
Always a firm favourite from Grandma to the littlest of super stars everyone loves to get involved with singing their favourite hits. Some add costume and theatrics and get up in a group, however you choose to take part BFF Family Karaoke will definitely be lots of fun. This takes place in the bar each and every day and sometimes into the night, an impromptu karaoke session is always well received after a long fun day. Get practising your Sister Sledge ‘We are Family’!!
Sports Zone
Sports for all ages and abilities there is football, cricket, badminton, table tennis, swing ball and tag rugby to name just a few! 2022 has some very exciting sport related additions to announce very soon….watch this space!
Little Ones Garden
The Little ones Garden was introduced in 2017 and proved very popular with a giant sandpit, soft-play shapes, trikes, hoops, dress up boxes, outdoor games and bubble providing hours of endless fun for little feet and tiny hands.
For 2022 we are replacing the giant sandpit with a ball pit, plus the soft play shapes, garden games, dolls house and car racing mat will all be back.
Dance Workshops
Dance workshops take place all weekend, be it street dance, classical dance, break dance or teaming up with a professional dance school for various types of dance for all ages and abilities. Guaranteed fun and you may even learn some new moves!
Camping & Glamping

Outdoor Cinema
The Outdoor cinema is a great way to chill out as a family be it in the daytime with short films in the past we’ve screened Wallace and Gromit courtesy of our friends at Aardman Animations. Then as the sun goes down in the evening people pull up a bale of hay or bring out the camping seats and picnic blankets to watch some feature length classics, its a fantastic experience being outdoors watching a giant screen. It really is a chilled end to a fun filled day.
Craft Workshops
Craft workshops take place in the Den sponsored this year by Macmillan Childrens Books.
Featuring fantastic worksheets on Peanut Jones and the illustrated city by Rob Biddulph.
We house our famous and fantastic huge colouring wall by local artist Sabina Gran, Tom Django from Bournemouth comes and runs great graffiti workshops,
Model making will take place this year in the form of Create a Scene Machine with an Aardman animator where by you can create a model and add it to the scene its a drop in session so plenty of time for everyone to have a go, or simply sitting down and figuring out some puzzles.
The Den is our hub for all things art ?
DJ Academy
DJ academy takes place on the stage within the bar area, so sit back watch & listen whilst the little ones learn some mixing skills and encouraged to find and hone their inner Fat Boy Slim or Annie Mac and come up with their own DJ name.
With local Djs jumping on the decks too, its always entertaining.
Big Family Festival information & FAQs
Big Family Festival 2024 is tbc...
Big Family Festival takes place at Dunton Hall, Kingsbury Rd, Curdworth, Sutton Coldfield B76 0BA.
We are committed to making Big Family Festival as accessible as possible and great efforts are being been made to achieve this where reasonable.
There are of course still fields and areas where mobility can be difficult. We have spaces to chill out and get away from it all as well, for those who need this.
However, Big Family Festival is an outdoor festival utilising fields and farmland that could pose problems, particularly in wet weather for mobility, and large volumes of people and noise for those with learning difficulties. With a little help here and there though we feel that it is definitely manageable and we provide a 2 for 1 pass for Personal Assistants for those who may find they have physical and mental challenges across the weekend.
Please read the following information carefully.
2 FOR 1 – ONE FREE DISABILITY ACCESS PERSONAL ASSISTANT PASS
In our commitment to make Big Family Festival accessible to everyone, we may provide Deaf or disabled ticket holders that would be unable to attend without use of a personal assistant (PA), and are in receipt of one, or more of the following with a ticket at no additional cost for one PA:

• - Receipt of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
• - Evidence of being severely sight impaired
• - CredAbility Access Card – + 1 category requirement
• - A recognised Assistance Dog ID Card.
HOW TO APPLY

Providing proof of one of the above along with the your ticket order number, for the ticket already purchased.
A assistance ticket will then be sent which is the same value/date/type as the one purchased.
The deadline for assistance ticket requests is 15th July 2022.

There are no age restrictions for The Big Family Festival as it is a family event.
Unfortunately we can’t issue you with a refund if you can’t make the event due to work commitments or your mates have dropped out. In these circumstances, we advise passing on your tickets privately to avoid losing out on the money spent.
Please note there is a £5 car parking charge payable upon arrival (in the BY Car - car park is on site).
Big Family Festival is located at Dunton Hall, Kingsbury Rd, Curdworth, Sutton Coldfield B76 0BA.
