Big Family Festival Tickets
Big Family Festival, Sutton Coldfield
Friday 27th July 2018 - Sunday 29th July 2018 tickets:
The Festival Ethos – Here at BFF we realised as parents ourselves, that if its family friendly festival thats packed full of entertainment then its a 3-5hr motorway journey southbound that you will have to endure to find one that ticks all the boxes.
We wanted to bring something to the midlands, something for all the family to enjoy, something that may indeed make our friends down south consider venturing up a motorway or two themselves!
The idea came to light when an already established and very successful nightclub promoter here in the midlands, his wife and their two children sat around the kitchen table during a dinner time chat. Hoping to offer something entertaining, fun, involving the local communities and businesses and all at a reasonable cost to the public.
At a very accessible location to all of its neighbouring towns and cities aswell as those from further afar the site we have chosen is perfect for this type of event. We will be offering camping for those wanting to make a weekend of it, as well as day ticket options for the local people.
You don't have to bring children along to enjoy the festival either, with an outdoor cinema, craft stalls, a farmers market, tribute acts, dance workshops, comedians, science shows, circus skills, a solar powered arena, the finest street food vendors and bars with lots more to be added and announced there really is something for everyone.
Main Stage Showcasing everything from tribute acts, local talent, and festival headliners here is where the party starts and finishes. Head here to get your body moving, sing along to your hearts content and shake ya tail feather from noon til midnight, with some sneaky suprises along the way!
The Ibiza Ghetto Blaster We Love Djs will take over this area with djs on rotation throughout the whole weekend. Get your cameras ready as this will be something worth capturing its a 20ft x 15ft Ghetto Blaster. Line up to be annouced very soon, If you are a budding dj be sure to head over to the competition section to enter to win a set in this one of a kind dj booth!
The Solar Tent For those conscious of the carbon footprint we wanted to host a solar powered tent, and with your help we could offer more. We are giving you the option to donate towards our solar powered mission follow this link to add your levy to the cause. Be it big or small it will all help us to offer a more environmentally friendly festival. In this tent we shall be hosting the comedians, with family friendly content and some household names this is sure to be a right laugh.
The Den The robust Teepee style tent shall offer chill out spaces with comfy cushions and bean bags to take the weight off or play some table tennis. As the name suggests its an escape for the teens with dj tutorials, Q& A sessions with music producers, successful business owners, actors, authors and radio presenters this is a great place to chill out, meet friends and make new ones. The Den shall also host our reading corner so again we invite you to step away from the hustle and bustle of the main events and make yourself comfortable for storytime. Classic stories both old and new shall be read at scheduled intervals throughout the two days. With suprise celebrity guest story tellers, as well as up and coming authors. Don’t worry if you miss a story time part of the den shall be dedicated to make and create where children are encouraged to come up with their own stories and design their own characters, do some word-searches, or do some colouring cutting and sticking with our creative team. Good old fashioned fun at its best in the Den.
The Food Court When the belly starts to rumble fear not the team at BFF have it got it covered, with an array of street food cuisine to suit all appetites.
The Beer Festival As well as the fully stocked bars we want to offer a choice of tempting local beers and wines. Enabling the adults to enjoy something different, whilst supporting local business owners and brewers.
Open Air Cinema Sit comfortably and enjoy some classic family movies throughout your time at the BFF, seek out the child in you and enjoy a sing-a-long show with a very famous Disney song thats probably only just popped out of your head… anyone know the one about building a snowman?!
Entertainment With interactive science shows, magic shows, circus skill workshops, breakdancing workshops, life size and interactive characters walking round for photos, dress up photo booths, the list of entertainment just keeps on getting longer so be sure to check back regularly on the site to see what we’ve added next!
Farmers Market Wanting to support local business owners is very important to us at BFF so when on farm land and in fields it seemed only natural to have a farmers market on site. We have invited some of the local farmers with shops nearby to open stalls for you to browse and hopefully some local produce fresh from the farm. Indulge in some of the wonderful and great tasting treats on offer, as well as some local craft stalls supporting family businesses. Its a real treat to be able to have a farmers market on site so we hope you make the most of it. If you are interested in being one of the stalls here please head over to the Be Part Of It Section.
Camping Roll up your sleeping bags and pick out your favourite pjs, as the BFF is having a sleep over. The campsite will be secure and shall have all the necessary amenities for your two days and one night stay. We have positioned the campsite far enough away from the djs and main stage so you wont be kept awake by dads singing as he dances the night away.
Disabled Access Information
We are committed to making Big Family Festival as accessible as possible and great efforts are being been made to achieve this where reasonable.
There are of course still fields and areas where mobility can be difficult. We have spaces to chill out and get away from it all as well for those who need this.
However,Big Family Festival is an outdoor festival utilising fields and farmland that could pose problems, particularly in wet weather for mobility, and large volumes of people and noise for those with learning difficulties. With a little help here and there though we feel that it is definitely manageable and we provide a 2 for 1 pass for Personal Assistants to this end for those who may find they have physical and mental challenges across the weekend.
Please read the following information very carefully.
2 FOR 1 – ONE FREE DISABILITY ACCESS PERSONAL ASSISTANT PASS
In our commitment to make Big Family Festival accessible to everyone, we may provide Deaf or disabled ticket holders that would be unable to attend without use of a personal assistant (PA), and are in receipt of one, or more of the following with a ticket at no additional cost for one PA:
• Middle or Higher rate DLA for care and/or mobility
• Receipt of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
• Evidence of being severely sight impaired
• CredAbility Access Card – + 1 category requirement
• A recognised Assistance Dog ID Card.
HOW TO APPLY
• Please email email@example.com
The ONE FREE pass will be collected at BFF when you present your matching ID upon arrival and are with your personal assistant, no exceptions. It is not sent to you in advance.
• The deadline for PA Applications is Friday 21st July 2017. Information for your arrival will be sent after this date.
DISABILITY ACCESS CAMPSITE
To apply for the campsite, you must have submitted a successful application for a PA pass.
The Disability Access Camping Area is only available to those with a PA pass.
An application email will be sent to those who have successfully applied and have shown they have purchased tickets. You will need a booking reference for the application.
Spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis and applications of the Campsite will close as soon as the campsite reaches its maximum availability. Do not delay your application if you qualify and need to camp here.
The Disability is the best location we can achieve for all of the needs of people we try to accommodate.
Please note that you should prepare to bring a tent that will fit in 5m x 3m space.
NB: Your family and friends can camp with you in the Accessibility camping area but your group including the person with a disability, a personal assistant and children can be a maximum of 6 people. Other people with disabilities who are your friends and family should apply separately.
DISABILITY ACCESS PARKING PASS
Parking is payable by an advanced ticket, or upon arrival but to use the disability access car park, you will also need a Blue Badge. These spaces will be given to those who have Blue Badges only.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Electric wheelchairs can tackle most areas without too much hindrance but the ground can be quite uneven in places and is predominantly on grass. If it rains it may get muddy and access around the site (other than on the paths) may be very difficult. The terrain is predominantly short grass with firm soil so movement around the main arena and other stages is possible for fit wheelchair users in good weather. Your personal assistant will need to assist you if it becomes difficult, which is why they receive a free pass to the festival.
We recognise that some, particularly those with specific learning difficulties may need to find a space to step away from the crowds and noise. We do our best to provide this but it is difficult in a festival environment but we do our best.
Patrons are advised that flicker, laser, strobe and other lighting effects may be in use at the festival site.
Everyone needs to buy a parking ticket for their vehicle. Only Blue Badge holders, or those in the disability access campsite will be able to use the disability access car park.
Only vehicles with a blue badge (or similar) can park in the disability access camping area if there is available space and if your tent and car fit in the 5m x 3m space.
If not, you will be asked to park in the nearby car park. Only one vehicle is allowed in the camping .
A car park for day visiting persons with a blue badge is close by and accessible throughout the weekend. Friends will have to park in the main car park, however.
