VEHICLES
If you are bringing a vehicle on to the site you must purchase a vehicle pass at the appropriate rate.
Vehicle passes for over 3 tonnes will only be available to purchase in advance. YOU WILL NOT GAIN ENTRY TO THE FESTIVAL SITE IF YOU HAVE NOT NOTIFIED US IN ADVANCE THAT YOUR VEHICLE IS OVER 3 TONNES. If in doubt email info@knockengorroch.org.uk
Please note there is no access for vehicles over 7 ½ tonnes or vehicles or caravans wider than 7 feet.
DOGS
Dog owners agree to keep their dogs on a lead at all times, to clear up any dog mess immediately and dispose of it properly. Dog mess bags are available from the office, but we expect dog owners to bring their own bags. There is adjacent to the festival site a non festival forestry area where dogs can be let off the leash, up beyond the bank opposite the Shieling tent entrance. Uncooperative dog owners may be asked to leave the site or take their dog off site. We believe we may be the only Scottish music festival allowing dogs. With our dog owners cooperation, we can keep it this way!
DRUGS AND ALCOHOL
In accordance with Police Scotland’s zero tolerance drugs policy, all illegal drugs and ‘legal highs’ are prohibited on the festival site.
Knockengorroch Festival is a family friendly event and operates a zero tolerance approach to drugs. Possession of controlled drugs is just as illegal on the festival site as it is off it.
All persons attending the event may be subject to a drugs and security search either at the point of entry, on the campsites, in the car parks, or elsewhere on the site. There will be police and drugs dogs on duty at the festival’s entrance.
Amnesty bins will be provided on site, but patrons are reminded that any individual found in possession of drugs may face prosecution. Any person found in possession of substances suspected to controlled drugs or legal highs may be refused entry or evicted from site.
OTHER PSYCHOACTIVE SUBSTANCES
Just because a drug is allegedly legal to possess it does not mean it is safe.
The Police are making increased efforts to reduce the consumption of all psychoactive substances at this years’ event including the deployment of a trained detection dog.
All psychoactive substances and “legal highs” are banned from the festival site, including nitrous oxide and poppers.
ALCOHOL
The festival operates a “Challenge 25” policy for the purchase of alcohol. If you are lucky enough to appear under 25 you advised to bring verification of your age with you.
The festival site is designated a public place. If you are under 18 and found in possession of alcohol it will be confiscated.
Never leave drinks unattended. Any drink, alcoholic or otherwise, can be spiked.
The organisers reserve the right to refuse service at the bar to anyone appearing dangerously intoxicated.
Do NOT try and bring alcohol that you have brought with you into either the festival entertainment areas or into our two bars.
Do not bring glass on to the festival site – if broken, serious injury can result.
CRISIS INTERVENTION
If you require any support or advice regarding substance use or feel unwell due to the consumption of drugs or alcohol contact CREW 2000 in the chill out welfare tent next to the first aid post without delay. Any Police Officer, Security Guard or member of the festival crew will be able to direct you to them. The welfare tent is clearly marked on the map on the back page of our printed programme.
LOSS OR INJURY
The festival organisers (Knockengorroch Community Interest Company) will not be held liable for any loss, injury or damage to persons or property sustained whilst attending Knockengorroch Festival, including accessing and exiting the site between the A713 and the festival site except in respect of death, injury and damage to property resulting from the promoter’s negligence. In the case of damage to the ticket holder’s property caused by the organiser’s negligence, the organiser’s liability shall be limited to the reasonable cost or either repairing or replacing such property subject to fair wear and tear.
ANTISOCIAL, AGGRESSIVE, UNSAFE OR ILLEGAL BEHAVIOUR
In the event of antisocial, aggressive, unsafe or illegal behaviour, or in the event of non-cooperation with event staff, you may be required to leave the festival site. In this case, re-admission will not be permitted.
OFFICIAL FILMING AND SOUND RECORDING
All ticket holders consent to any official filming and sound recording as members of the audience and to the use, reproduction, storage and broadcasting of such films and recordings by the organiser, including any copies made

USEFUL INFORMATION
We can’t wait for our next instalment of festival magic and mayhem in the Knockengorroch hills! Just to let you know of a few things in advance of the adventure…
Knockengorroch is a unique site. It is located deep in the Southern Uplands of Scotland. There are no shops, ATMs, petrol stations or urban ‘civilization’ for 10 miles. Please bear this in mind when you pack!
Bring warm and waterproof clothing plus sunscreen! Also any food and provisions you would need for camping for four days in the hills, bearing in mind we have quite a few well priced caterers on site.
Please look after yourself and those around you!
VEHICLES AND ACCESS
Knockengorroch is a unique site. The last leg of your journey will take you off the A road and 4 miles along private roads. In order to use these roads for festival access we are subject to certain restrictions. We must keep a very close eye on number and type of vehicles coming in. If you are bringing a vehicle on to the site you must purchase a vehicle pass at the appropriate rate. Our vehicle passes reflect the fact that we are not on a public road. Please try and car share wherever possible and save costs.
Vehicle passes for over 3 tonnes will only be available to purchase in advance and vehicles must have a vehicle pass to enter. If in doubt email info@knockengorroch.org.uk
Please note there is no access for vehicles over 7 ½ tonnes or vehicles or caravans wider than 7 feet.
We highly recommend you buy a vehicle pass in advance. In 2017 we SOLD OUT of vehicle passes on friday and some vehicles were turned away though we were still able to fit pedestrians on site. We cannot guarantee that this will not happen again. Buying your vehicle pass in advance will guarantee you get it on site.
Vehicle passes will be available to purchase on the gate subject to availability only.
In 2021 we will have provisions for off site parking. Parking here will be at a much reduced price and a shuttle bus will bring you onto the site. This car park will be available in advance for anyone who would like a cheaper parking option and those who have not bought their passes in advance and cannot fit onto the site
In 2021 we will also be running larger Knock buses to allow more people to go car free.
