Sheffield Eating Out Guide

There are loads of different places to eat out in Sheffield. Most friendly to a student budget are probably found on Division Street and West Street, including Wokmania, a Nando’s, Pizza Express, Varsity, and The Cavendish – a ‘Scream’ pub where you’ll find cheap and cheerful pub food including beer and a burger for mere pennies.

The leafy, cosmopolitan Eccleshall Road is also a great place to go for lunch or dinner, with plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants with outdoor tables in the Summer. Check out Yankees for some all-American grease-filled hangover food, or Champs – the city’s best known sports bar.  The Café Rouge in Ecclehall Road is also a student favourite – and there are usually discount vouchers to be found. You can book your table at Café Rouge through Skiddle here.

If you’re looking for great value vegetarian food, head to Las Iguanas in the city centre West One development, where you’ll find great deals before 6.30pm. Click here to find out more about Las Iguanas and book your table. The Bread Shop and Pizza Volante are also great places to go for cheap eats.

If you have a little more money to spend on your culinary exploration of Sheffield, head to the elegant Dam House overlooking Crookes Valley Park, or The Showroom Café at the Showroom independent cinema – great places to impress a date or celebrate a special occasion.
